That was my first thought too.

I'd ignore, but I'd also reverse-image search him to see if anything came up. My friend did this with one of her dates who seemed a bit sketchy and his (recent) wedding photos came up on his public FB profile!

he's married that's why he blocked you. he was obviously with his wife/kids and was terrified a message would pop up on his phone that they would see. would also explain the last minute change as his family needed him for something.
