@Worldgonecrazy and @trappedsincesundaymorn
I too have 0 level maths I’m very proud to announce as it took me three goes
I got a grade 4 on my last exam

Allflightscancelled · 07/07/2020 19:01

It really can rain there, @SeaOtterFluff

After all this bloody time, to go away and find it's pissing with rain. FFS!!!! Still good news about the pints and the pies Grin

Chez Allflights, we're having a diet version of cassoulet as I've piled the weight on in the last three months. Unfortunately, I'm also drinking a bottle of Strongbow, so one will cancel the other out, and then I'll probably have another Strongbow and we'll be back where we started...

Dowser · 07/07/2020 19:03

Got back from our caravan about lunchtime in time for our appointments with our Anma therapist

Apparently my liver was warm, which meant it had slipped out of position And my ileo cecal valve was stuck again which meant .no wonder I’ve had a lot of gut trouble.
Getting everything put back in place was bloody painful and brought tears to my eyes . My arms and wrists are feeling much better though..but I feel tired and know the adjustment will take a while to settle down.

@TrustTheGeneGenie..my therapist described what he can do for my grandsons tm and cross bite problem
He also asked if he had a hearing problem which he doesn’t seem to. He advises against surgery at all costs which I agree
Our next appointment is early August ( grandson was working today) and we’ve booked him in for it.
It’s going to cost..but he’s such a love,y lad m he deserves his chance.
If this goes well..you might want to look at it

Can’t remember where you are but we are north east

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 07/07/2020 19:06

Place marking, will read the thread now - I can't keep up.

BakewellTarts · 07/07/2020 19:06

Absolutely love the new thread title. Checking in!

TheOrchidKiller · 07/07/2020 19:06

Wow, page 6 of a new thread already!

Love the title. I have a CSE in maths and an O level because they didn't trust me to pass the O level - proved them all wrong! But still have to count on my fingers, so maybe not quite the result it sounds.

I'm so sorry about anyone who has found their healthcare delayed or denied because of blanket departmental shut-downs. I find it inexcusable. My tiny NHS department has carried on throughout all of this, seeing patients, & plugging gaps left by closed down services, as well as doing our day jobs. But we don't count because we're not ITU, A&E or covid. It's hard work, but not impossible to deliver care.

Did someone say earlier that Drakeford has been tweeting about cheese? or have I imagined it? Who does he think he is, Wallace & Grommit?

LivinLaVidaLoki · 07/07/2020 19:08

And just when my day couldn't be more confusing....
I've had an email from TUI telling me my holiday is now going ahead.
My hotel is closed.
They told me Monday it was cancelled and now its not.
My hotel is still closed.

I know I should be happy as it means I'll get to see my family but I've still realistically no idea what's going on?!

TheOrchidKiller · 07/07/2020 19:11

I've read your post 3 times, Loki & I'm confused too. Everything is so up in the air, I see what you mean about not being able to feel happy yet. Fingers crossed though.

Lickyicelollies · 07/07/2020 19:12

Hello new thread. I've got an A level in maths and don't have a bloody clue about the title...

Went to my office today (radical I know) and really wanted to deface the signs. "Please help us to stay safe" - maybe ill take a Sharpie in the dead of night and write THE WORLD IS NOT SAFE or NO ONE GETS OUT OF THIS ALIVE

Teateaandmoretea · 07/07/2020 19:12

@LivinLaVidaLoki you don’t need luxuries like a hotel. Take a cardboard box. There are people DYING.

Teateaandmoretea · 07/07/2020 19:13

Hahahaha you actually know a bit about maths. That will be why 😂

HeadSpin5 · 07/07/2020 19:13

👋missed a whole thread! Feels weird tonight as for the first time since March I have to sort Y3 DCs school uniform for tomorrow, she’s going in for A WHOLE 90 MINUTES!!

Not bitching at the school for the guys btw. But it’s just so so lovely to see how happy and excited she is 😊

HeadSpin5 · 07/07/2020 19:15

For the guys?! For this, rather

LivinLaVidaLoki · 07/07/2020 19:16

You're right @Teateaandmoretea
I'll see if I can find some tarpaulin or something that can double as a raft for getting there.

Also, not to be pedantic but I think you mean "there are people sadly DYING"

LivinLaVidaLoki · 07/07/2020 19:16

😁

Fuck school uniform for 90 mins! Most schools round here have sacked uniform off for now anyway (apart from the academy with the bonkers head who'd have the kids in logoed knickers if she could get away with it).

Mind you the real reason they're in own clothes is so the schools can monitor that they're in fresh clothes every day - wouldn't put it past our head to be logging what the kids are wearing to make sure of this to be honest.

Shodan · 07/07/2020 19:17

Checking in again!

Loving the thread title. Makes me feel all literate n shit Grin

LivinLaVidaLoki · 07/07/2020 19:20

@DominaShantotto
Logoed knickers made me laugh.
Though do you remember having knickers with the days of the week on them? They'd be pretty fkn useful about now.

In cheerier news I know you will appreciate...

Taking Ds to school this morning and he takes a box of raisins out of his snack pack and starts shaking them...

"Listen mum, its like music, it's like I've got Malakas" I'm just like "errrr what now"
"Malakas mum, the musical instrument that spanish people have. Malakas"
I just look straight at him and say "Ma-RA-kas DS, maracas" 🤦‍♀️

HeadSpin5 · 07/07/2020 19:21

@DominaShantotto ha I know what you mean! To be fair it’s school PE kit rather than uniform, they’ll be playing games. She’s laid it all out ready and everything 😊

Things could be worse...why can they not be allowed to stay home? We talked about this before with them making the old people go in 'she didn't want to go' (very elderly lady) Sad

I couldn’t resist.

Orangeblossom78 · 07/07/2020 19:23

That's awful, the elderly should have the right to a respectful dignified death at home if that is what they wish.

IAintentDead · 07/07/2020 19:25

Maybe not logo'd but I'm old enough to have had to wear bottle green knickers for school (with a little pocket in for emergency bus fare Blush

I am horrified by this. Staying at home rather than going to hospital is a valid choice.

Cheese is important but I'm not a party leader rambling on about it on an official account!

DominaShantotto · 07/07/2020 19:26

@LivinLaVidaLoki the days of the week now is where the licence fee comes into its own for the Cbeebies give it up for Monday wooah ohh oahhh oh song public service announcement everyday.

I can't ditch the anxiety feeling this week - don't know why it's hit all of a sudden but I'm on a hypersensitive fuse with the kids and just feel like I've been necking 57 cans of Red Bull constantly - and keep waking up at arsing 3am.
