Has anyone seen the new zoflora add where they show someone washing a tin of beans!! Hmm

I've had a great day. Went and saw my mate, had a hug in her garage in case prying eyes were watching (which made me cry as I needed it so badly) and we then sat in the boot of her car, with the back seats folded down and munched on snacks, drank prosecco and watched the rain come down. It was wonderful and we will be doing that again!

RubberDinghyRapids · 07/06/2020 20:52

@SpnBaby1967 That sounds LOVELY. Prosecco and rain and hugs. Bloody bliss!

PickAChew · 07/06/2020 20:54

Unfortunately not, @Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy

It's a weird shade of peachy cream that goes alarmingly pink when wet.

Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy · 07/06/2020 20:55

@SpnBaby1967 Prosecco, rain and hugs... Well two out of three ain’t bad!

Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy · 07/06/2020 20:57

@PickAChew I’m officially disappointed. Lockdown would definitely have been improved with properly coloured crisis bog roll. I’m sure the dementors would agree!

BarkandCheese · 07/06/2020 21:02

Ohh nooo, official dementor lockdown sanctioned bogroll would be that crinkly, shiny stuff those of us over a certain age had to suffer at school. It’s a pandemic don’t you know, soft bogroll is far too much of a luxury and probably kills grannies to boot.

Teateaandmoretea · 07/06/2020 21:04

I didn’t buy bog roll in Sainsbury’s today what a loser. They did have a full aisle of it though for the record

HesterShaw1 · 07/06/2020 21:05

Bronco toilet paper! The stuff that actually repelled liquid. The only thing it was any good for was tracing paper.

Definitely the pandemic paper of choice.

littlbrowndog · 07/06/2020 21:05

I met a friend today who I not see; since March. I was sounding off about one of my toddlers being frightened by the virus flying in the air and she was frightened by the fact that she might get infected by the flying bad things

My ex friend said she is right the virus is all around us. FFS.

does she actually think the virus is just flying in the air waiting to dive on us.

Mascotte · 07/06/2020 21:05

My personal favourite was the one that milk and bread were not essential items.

Dollybagwash · 07/06/2020 21:06

Checking in! God what a day! Commented on Nicola sturgeons negativity on the zero deaths in Scotland.

Oh dear! This is outing if anyone has seen it but Christ! I had about 10 followers. I use twitter to see what celebrities are up to Grin I have been absolutely hammered.

The nationalists just went bush! I've been called a moron and all sorts! Absolute madness!

In other new out at Loch Lomond today. Really quiet, everyone keeping their distance and no road closures in sight!!

fartingsparkles · 07/06/2020 21:09

"Flocking all over the world" (I'll get me coat!!)

To anyone feeling the going is tough (me included) I am simply trying to hope that every day is a tiny step closer to get out of this shitshow.

I have seen one person indoors at less than 2m this weekend. And it has done me, them and dcs the power of good. We did same a few weeks ago and felt much better for it. Neither of us is seeing anyone else regularly, and we haven't for the duration. I might see a neighbour or sil at a distance, am click and collecting the majority of shopping (occasionally popping in somewhere for a 'supermarket sweep' style dash when its quiet), and am going slowly lower in mood. Not more than a few minute's chat once in a while with anyone with an age in double figures. 2 dcs, one who can't talk and the other who wants to chat shite about things that interest an 8 year old. We ALL need a different face to see and voice to hear. So we met, time in garden and then said 'fuck it'. We hugged, ate, drank and used the loo - all as normal. It felt bloody brilliant.

Littlebelina · 07/06/2020 21:11

@Mascotte

Freezing milk in ice cube trays so you don't have to go the shop every week......
SudokuBook · 07/06/2020 21:11

Oh god yes the hard shiny school bog roll. It should definitely make a comeback, absorbent toilet roll is such a frivolity when PEOPLE ARE DYING.

We should get state issue carbolic soap as well for the state mandated handwashing

SudokuBook · 07/06/2020 21:13

My personal favourite was the one that milk and bread were not essential items.

Did someone not suggest that the poster could use cheese instead of milk?

I’m not sure if my favourites were those nobly doing without onions for a fortnight as they’d forgotten to buy them or the ones who were “crying and shaking with fear” at people buying non essential items

Mascotte · 07/06/2020 21:15

Yes! @Littlebelina 😂😂

Ghostlyglow · 07/06/2020 21:16

@Waleshasgonecompletelycrazy crime scene tape bog roll would be brilliant. I'd buy it Grin

AgentCooper · 07/06/2020 21:17

Commented on Nicola sturgeons negativity on the zero deaths in Scotland

@Dollybagwash oh my God I KNOW. Give us a fucking break, we all need a bit of good news and should be allowed to be happy about it!

Teateaandmoretea · 07/06/2020 21:20

The problem is that the last thing Nicola needs is to have to make decisions. If people stop dying in Scotland she’ll have to start making decisions rather than slagging off everything that Westminster does, then let them try it to see the effect.

But don’t worry they’ll find some deaths, it won’t be zero for long Hmm

TeacupDrama · 07/06/2020 21:20

yeah I despair at Scottish Government " we have really bad news no-one died of covid today but they will tomorrow and the day after" and its far too dangerous to open schools

Someone said it was them being Presbyterian or something this does a disservice to presbyterians they were really big believers in Education of all children since 16th / 17th century. There are many things John Knox got wrong but saying that there should be a teacher in every parish and Girls should be educated with their brothers until age 14 was not one of them ( most of his CofE and Catholic contemporaries didn't think girls should be educated at all)
Presbyterians and Puritans were the radicals of their day and didn't think the State should interfere in the church> they certainly thought children should obey parents but they never suggested children should be isolated or uneducated

TooTiredTodayOk · 07/06/2020 21:21

I've found my people. I'm new and I've caught up on the last thread.

I said on another thread - I have got friends and family who work for the NHS (genuinely, I have Grin) several of whom are bored shitless, twiddling their thumbs because their departments have been all but completely closed for the last 10 weeks or so. According to them the only 'wave' coming now is the wave of all the people who have gone undiagnosed and missed out on medical treatment in this madness.

Anyway, we sacked off the whole lockdown thing at the end of May, we had FIL over for a Bbq as he lives alone and we were seriously concerned for his mental health. Then had my mum and dad over last weekend, it was lovely to see them.

I'm taking DS for a drive thru McDonald's tomorrow and then dropping him at the park where he's meeting up with some friends.

I'm done with it.

Dollybagwash · 07/06/2020 21:21

@AgentCooper honestly I have laughed it off but it's fucking savage! I know it's the weekend. I know it could be delayed reporting but fuck me we haven't had a day without deaths since March I think. Be more positive.

The amount of people saying she shouldn't have allowed the protests to go ahead. Do they fucking understand that the right to protest is fundamental in a fucking democracy.

They literally want to sit at home and wait for Nicola to declare it "safe" what does that even fucking mean. Anyone who has done a Saturday night up the toon when the pubs come out, standing in the fucking taxi rank understands Glasgow is unsafe at the best of times!

Sorry huge rant but I have fucking had enough todayWineWine

Dollybagwash · 07/06/2020 21:24

@Teateaandmoretea and @TeacupDrama wish I could like your posts!

Oh my god, all dementor should be issued with that toilet roll. Save the good stuff for everyone else.
Mascotte · 07/06/2020 21:30

I've gone full anti dementor in real life and started a back to school! Post on Facebook in Scotland.
