Sensory issues is my guess. 🤷‍♀️

Lucywilde · 01/06/2020 11:09

Because he’s an arrogant shit would be my guess

Walkingtohealth · 01/06/2020 11:13

I'm going with sensory issues. I strongly suspect he is autistic. Autism generally turns up in children who have at least one autistic parent.

Dominic Cummings has an autistic son. So do I.

I'm autistic too and I would bet money that Cummings is.

FrodoTheDodo · 01/06/2020 11:19

I thought we'd gone beyond judging someone on what they wear? I don't like the man but I am also exceedingly pissed off when people comment on what women in 'high profile' positions wear.

NeutralJanet · 01/06/2020 11:22

Makes a change for it to be a man being criticized though doesn't it. We all know that if a high profile female politician went around looking like Cummings does she would be ripped to pieces for looking unprofessional.

SoupDragon · 01/06/2020 11:22

Dear god. Will all this shit never end? Now he's being criticised over his clothing choices?? Do people have nothing better to "report" on?

Lavenderpurple · 01/06/2020 11:24

So what? 🙄
At least he’s got some clothes on.

Sparklingbrook · 01/06/2020 11:26

Are we still doing this? Hmm

FrodoTheDodo · 01/06/2020 11:28

Yes and it's shit when it happens to women and it's shit here too. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and ask why he doesn't wear a fucking suit if I'm annoyed when there are articles about whether a high profile female does or doesn't wear high heels.

WitchyMoo · 01/06/2020 12:07

Who gives a fuck what he wears .. at least he's dressed
I wouldn't judge if he turned up in his pj's .. I often wear pj's in the street and out shopping , I still do a good job and do it very well I might add
I'm the most comfiest in my night attire
Didn't give the autistic thing a thought . Very interesting 👍

GreenTulips · 01/06/2020 12:11

He’s a government representative being broadcast around the world and this is how he chooses to let the world see British government?

Some things don’t look washed.

vanillandhoney · 01/06/2020 12:11

I agree that he's probably on the spectrum and likely has sensory issues - it runs in families after all.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 01/06/2020 12:18

Jeremy Corbyn had a suit on at the cenotaph - didn't stop the hysterical Tory press.
Michael Foot had a suit on at the cenotaph - didn't stop the hysterical Tory press.
Dominic Cummings turns up in his joggers and sweaty t - shirt - oooh what a rebel! He's so anti - establishment. Who cares what he wears? Yeah, right.

x2boys · 01/06/2020 12:23

Does he have an autistic son though I thought it had,nt been confirmed ?That said it could be sensory ,but seriously why do people care ?

JudyCoolibar · 01/06/2020 12:26

It has never been confirmed or even officially claimed that Cummings has an autistic son. That seems to have started off as a bit of speculation on social media which has taken root.

SunbathingDragon · 01/06/2020 12:26

Maybe it is sensory issues (my daughter and I both have them) but he is dressed and that’s fine as far as I am concerned.

022828MAN · 01/06/2020 12:27

Is he meant to even be a public figure? I thought he was meant to not be seen or heard as such and solely behind the scenes. Obviously this has not been executed effectively, but I'd imagine that's why he isn't image aware/conscious.

Picalilliandcheese · 01/06/2020 12:27

Because most people, when we go to work, are expected to dress professionally. Doesn’t look good when one of the most powerful people in the country doesn’t.

Barkingfuckingdogs · 01/06/2020 12:29

I don't care if he turns up dressed as Mr Blobby. I do however care that he's a lying hypocrite who's had the brass neck to tell fairy stories on national TV and expect us all to collude in his lies.

Nonnymum · 01/06/2020 12:35

I think he is trying to make a point. Saying he is not one of the 'liberal elite' he was seen wearing a suit when he was younger

Nonnymum · 01/06/2020 12:38

I'd imagine that's why he isn't image aware/conscious.
I think he is image conscious and the image he wants to convey is that of independent maverick who doesn't trust the establishment. Most special advisers and civil Servants do wear suits, especial y when they meet Ministers. He though wants to distance himself from them and portray himself as different.
I am sure eveything he does is done for effect and for a reason.

Scotinengland76 · 01/06/2020 12:40

Can’t believe he’s getting hammered for how he dresses now

Michelleoftheresistance · 01/06/2020 12:41

It's not a style of dress that would be accepted by anyone in a professional workplace, including local government offices. It's a deliberate statement. I don't think it says what he intends it to say though. The professional dress code exists for a reason.

ShanghaiDiva · 01/06/2020 12:42

I don’t care what he wears.
I do care that he is a hypocrite and a liar.

PhilCornwall1 · 01/06/2020 12:44

You could dress him in the finest suit from Saville Row and he would still look like a bag of rags.

Johnson looks like a sack of shit in his suit.
