I agree a woman would be relentlessly torn to shreds for doing the same, I really cannot find it within myself to be arsed about what he wears though.

MarshaBradyo · 01/06/2020 12:47

It doesn’t matter.

Also no one knows if his son has autism, it was rumour.

Iwalkinmyclothing · 01/06/2020 12:50

IDGAF what he or anyone else wears, but it does make me go Hmm a bit because he is so clearly making a point. He wasn't in a full suit and tie for his stupid garden presser, but he wasn't in the usual "look at me, look at me, I am so zany and different" tracksuits he usually wears, was he?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 01/06/2020 12:50

I am amazed by the posters who seem to feel personally affronted by how he dresses.

ShirleyB25 · 01/06/2020 12:52

@Nonnymum

I think you're precisely right there.

Also I don't believe for one minute he has 'sensory issues' and therefore can't dress smartly. That really is utter bollocks. He knows exactly what he is doing.

And yes, I do think someone in his job (being paid between £95,000 and £99,000) should flaming well dress in professional manner. Everyone else has to. He's not working in a groovy hip office at Google in California where that might be the norm.

@Sparklingbrook Yes. We are still doing this. If you don't like it, perhaps hide the thread.

I'm still hacked that the slimey git hasn't been sacked. And yup, I'm criticising his sloppy clothes.

Are there howls of outrage from the same people who demanded Tracey Brabin dress professionally and respectfully a few months ago?

Double standards in action.

MarshaBradyo · 01/06/2020 12:55

Out of interest how do you know what he’s being paid?

RiftGibbon · 01/06/2020 12:57

I don't care what he looks like or what he wears. I do care that he seems to be involved in decision making where he shouldn't be, and doesn't seem to give a shot about anyone.

ShirleyB25 · 01/06/2020 12:57

Just had a look on the google - several different sources say the same

Well his boss isn't going to sack him for it.

I would have thought they'd be smarter options if it was sensory - not a suit but some form of smart casual. We've had to fork out for special clothing over the years, and it can be pricy, but I would have thought with his earning power he'd be less constrained by money than many.

I do think PP have a point though it's some form of PR - I'm not an elite thing. He often does look just scruffy.

Perhaps it's a power thing like calling a press conference inviting everyone then turning up late to it or telling blatant lies. I don't have to look smart or even washed as I'm that powerful.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 01/06/2020 13:00

In any private sector, professional role, he would be told to smarten his appearance as it's sloppy, and yes, someone's appearance does matter, although in fairness, he did make an attempt during the press conference, and was wearing a shirt.

It's definitely a statement - it's saying, 'no one tells me what to do...'

MarshaBradyo · 01/06/2020 13:00

I’d have thought it would be higher. Side note to his dressing, however

AnneKipanki · 01/06/2020 13:03

It clashes with his smile.

Watch this video anyone who needs to know why I'm so hacked off with Dominic Cummings -still..

It's scraping the barrel to be so pissed off that everthing thrown at him hasn't resulted in his sacking so now moaning about his clothes.

I bet he likes Coldplay as well the twat 🙂

PhilCornwall1 · 01/06/2020 13:12

Out of interest how do you know what he’s being paid?

Go on the Parliament site and you can find out what all the advisers earn. Interesting that he's not the highest paid.

Lucywilde · 01/06/2020 13:13

Does he actually have a child with autism? I didn’t think that had ever been confirmed. Bit say that if he does he hasn’t made any effort to sort this government out with regards to health and social care.

HappyHammy · 01/06/2020 13:17

I once worked with a doctor on nights who only had underpants on under his white coat and flipflops. Does what DC wear really matter that much to people.

ITonyah · 01/06/2020 13:19

Dear god. Will all this shit never end? Now he's being criticised over his clothing choices?? Do people have nothing better to "report" on?

Clearly not. This level of petty hatred must be hard to live with.

NaturalBornWoman · 01/06/2020 13:20

I'm still hacked that the slimey git hasn't been sacked. And yup, I'm criticising his sloppy clothes

And digging up last year’s newspaper articles to do it. Ffs, get a hobby.

MrsEricBana · 01/06/2020 13:21

@Lucywilde

Because he’s an arrogant shit would be my guess
This

Seriously. Do. It will improve your mental health tenfold.

HappyHammy · 01/06/2020 13:26

Maybe he changes when he gets to work. Who knows. Who cares.

itsgettingweird · 01/06/2020 13:29

I am to totally against what he did but agree his work store is irrelevant. Not all professional roles require certain clothing and he is meant to invisible so I guess dressing down is fine.

However the slightly evil side of me saw the picture of him someone had paid for as a cardboard cut out at an Australian sports match.

He looked like where's Wally. Had a good giggle with ds that maybe she dresses that way because so nobody can see him and they have to waste hours trying WinkGrin
