Something just moved in my stomach..

I’ve name changed for this.

Something literally just rolled in my stomach, there was a popping sensation and now I swear I have a bump where I didn’t before. Nothing that strange until I mention that I’ve not had sex since November and I’ve had periods since then. But something is moving in my stomach, and not like trapped wind. I’ll get out for a test first thing, but I surely can’t be that many weeks pregnant and not have had a single symptom till now, surely? Please someone tell me I can’t.

Even if you don't read the full thread, there's only a few posts before posters begin congratulating the OP.
Confused

LadyMuck111 · 25/05/2020 18:57

I've just read TWT and wow!! I was expecting you to say you had major trapped wind!!
What a shock!!

2020times · 25/05/2020 18:57

Oh OP what a shock. My sister found out about both her pregnancy's this way - the roll in the stomach at 6 months. They both turned out wonderfully for her

in contrast I threw up several times a day for the first 20 weeks

Good luck, and congratulations

Sounds like your digestive system working. I sometimes marvel at the goings on in my tummy when I lie in bed. Sometimes it's very like when the babies were wriggling but it's just digestion. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

kennycat · 25/05/2020 18:58

Whoops, just read the last few posts.
Not digestion, baby! Hurray! conratulations xx

ActuallyItsEugene · 25/05/2020 18:59

@kennycat OP is pregnant!!!

ActuallyItsEugene · 25/05/2020 18:59

@kennycat Apologies. I saw you'd read it.

Ohshitx · 25/05/2020 19:01

I haven’t drank. Well apart from once at New Year at which point I was very drunk. I would only have been 4 weeks? Could that have done any damage? After that and thanks in part to Lockdown I haven’t had a drink. I don’t smoke anyway.

I’ve got savings, I can get what we need. Once I’ve worked it out. I’ll phone the doc first thing tomorrow. I haven’t told anyone. I don’t know how to 😫

born to hula my mum had periods most of the way through her pregnancies... was 5 months gone with my brother before doctors actually agreed that she was right and expecting

MargotsBumpyNight · 25/05/2020 19:02

Oh OP what a game changer! You must be stunned! Don't panic, as a wise man once said. This will have a lovely outcome. I'm welling up for a stranger on the internet. Best of luck with the difficult conversation. I'm sure your midwife will be able to help with resources locally. Congratulations! Flowers

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/05/2020 19:04

I would personally wait until I’d spoken the doctor/midwife and had the pregnancy dated before telling people. Gives you a chance to get your head around it too.

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 25/05/2020 19:05

Bless you OP. I’d be dirling if it was me but it is unlikely as I haven’t had any of that malarkey for 15 years.

Congratulations FlowersSmile

Trudij123 · 25/05/2020 19:05

Oh my goodness - I’ve just read the thread and I just want to give you a massive hug!!! It will all be ok in the end, but as the others have said - be kind to yourself, you’ve had a massive shock !!

IncrediblySadToo · 25/05/2020 19:06

Well...CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS[ flowers]

Don't be scared...you'll be fine!

Get the appointments & scans sorted and see where you're actually at, let it settle in your own head. No rush to tell FWB another few days/week isn't going to make any difference. Decide how you feel about him, his involvement etc so you know your own thoughts before you talk to him.

Squeeeeee. Baby Oh is on its way!!

There is SO SO SO much stuff on eBay/facebook etc very very cheap and nothing wrong with second hand stuff for a baby most of it's barely used! And despite all the hype, you really don't need much.

So exciting....

walkingchuckydoll · 25/05/2020 19:06

What a shock OP. Maybe you can start calling midwife etc tomorrow before you call the father? Maybe the midwife has a suggestion how to tell him.

aFaintSeashellAroma · 25/05/2020 19:07

😱

walkingchuckydoll · 25/05/2020 19:08

I haven’t told anyone. I don’t know how to 😫

Maybe you can start by texting your best friend?

iklboo · 25/05/2020 19:10

I honestly think posting without RTFT should result in a three week ban Grin

helloPig · 25/05/2020 19:10

people never read the whole thread. it goes:

  1. read OP
  2. skip to the end
  3. impart wisdom
CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 25/05/2020 19:11

Op congratulations & take all the time you need to get your head around it. My Nan didn’t realise she was pregnant with my dad until she was in labour & he was her 5th child.

please try not to worry about the alcohol thing - dc was a bit of a surprise & I’d been drinking like a fish until I realised. They were fine & no issues. Cake Flowers

MustShowDH · 25/05/2020 19:12

Wow, my money was on trapped wind!

OP, I hope you're doing okay.

EyeDrops · 25/05/2020 19:13

Is anyone else feeling a desperate need to take a pregnancy test now, just to be on the safe side?!?

Congratulations OP! 💐💐 Wishing you all the best.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 25/05/2020 19:19

@EyeDrops

My rather large stomach and the endless kicking is telling me I don’t need to take a test. Grin I’m about a month behind the OP as I ovulated over Christmas.

Levatrice · 25/05/2020 19:21

Tentative Congratulations! What a shock. NHS would Usually see you quite quickly, within a few days but now with Covid etc might take until the end of the week.

Motherof2Dragons · 25/05/2020 19:21

Best of luck. You WILL cope and you will be fine once you've had confirmation, seen a scan and had a bit of a chance to process it! Mumsnet is collectively rooting for you.
