Peed off as suspect schools will delayed with the fuss the unions are kicking off. Not that ds was in a year that's earmarked to go back at first but was hoping he might get a few weeks which even if wrap around cafe isn't happening would help me with work and make him happy.

On the positive side, dd's nursery are making all the right noises and we live close enough to the sea so we can travel there without being accused of murdering too many people

Someone just posted on our reception WhatsApp page with a link to an article saying that 2 people have tested positive for coronavirus in a primary school about 10 miles away, with loads of sad faces. Not that they’re seriously ill or anything, doesn’t even say if they’re adults or children. Just that 2 people have tested positive.
I mean... what’s their point? We know coronavirus actually excuses and that gasp people get it. So what new information do they think they’re conveying?
All the parents who’ve said they won’t send theirs back have replied with a load of sad face emojis.
DH just told me I need to leave the WhatsApp group for the sake of my blood pressure.

Did anyone see the mayor of Liverpool in sky news? They shed how many deaths in Liverpool in the last 24 hours. He replied ‘probably 40.’ Correct figure was 11, as the reporter pointed out.

Notwithstanding his absolute ignorance (and stupidity in being interviewed without knowing the facts), he doesn’t think it’s safe to open their schools. Not opening ‘ until it’s safe.’

Still got my hopes up for DS's school opening. The head posted a video of herself on the school website saying she is looking forward to having the children back as soon as possible.
