Having watched some of their other videos, I’m concerned for her.

Looks to me like they are having a laugh and a joke , dh and I are a jokey couple like that.... no abuse from either of us to each other, it’s all in jest.

How people can judge someone on a short clip like this where they clearly are both smiling and laughing is beyond me, no wonder this world is in such a bad way that couples can’t even laugh and joke together! Not everyone is in an abusive relationship, there are nice men out there!

Ninkanink · 15/04/2020 12:21

Yes, bagels, I expect your boundaries probably are a bit off. It’s very common when you’ve been subjected to abuse to not see it unless it’s extremely bad and extremely obvious. I wouldn’t stand for anyone shoving me like that.

Kljnmw3459 · 15/04/2020 12:21

I think what's worrying is that she doesn't seem to react much in the first video. Of course this is all just speculation but I think most people would loudly protest if their partner nudged them so abruptly. Maybe even retaliate . Unless you've learned that it's better to not react..

fascinated · 15/04/2020 12:22

But why wouldn’t you edit that stuff out before uploading? Or do another Take? It’s so unprofessional. Weird.

fascinated · 15/04/2020 12:23

I’m biased cos I’ve never liked him! Too good to be true and all that...

Rebelwithallthecause · 15/04/2020 12:23

There are nice men out there

And he’s not one of them

BeetrootRocks · 15/04/2020 12:23

Not a DV victim
That elbow is nasty
I don't like the way he puts his arm round her neck after either somehow
Her face is not right she's not happy not at all

ceejay54321 · 15/04/2020 12:24

Both videos made me feels uneasy. Definitely. I don’t think elbowing, playful slapping, or using terms like ‘you’re dead to me’ is healthy behaviour when you are a couple - with children - presenting to the world on youtube.

Womenwotlunch · 15/04/2020 12:25

Exactly @Kljnmw3459- She apologised after he nudged her abruptly

CherryValance · 15/04/2020 12:25

Never been in an abusive relationship, didn’t grow up with it. The video where she’s late could just be piss-taking, I wouldn’t have read anything into that per se. But the sharpness of the elbow over something so minor, followed by her panicked ‘oh my god I’m so sorry’ and rictus face as he grabs her for a ‘haha folks, just roughhousing’ hug - that’s alarming. If I were her friend I’d be keeping a close eye on him.

QuacksInTheDark · 15/04/2020 12:26

Hmm ever since he publicly body shamed a woman for having a muffin top on his SM my opinion changed about him. These interactions are confirming my feelings that he is a misogynist.

Sittinonthefloor · 15/04/2020 12:28

Horrible 🙁. And they he has his arm around her neck and the other arm gripping hers. That’s not a loving hug it’s a controlling grip.

Sennetti · 15/04/2020 12:28

look at other videos

he talks over her
she's only allowed a third of the camera space
he dominates the whole thing
he rolls his eyes when she has an opinion
he puts down her opinion

she's a good actress but i'm not fooled either.......i'm a dv victim saved by SSAFA

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 15/04/2020 12:29

I've never bought the good, wholesome guy image tbh.

Yep, he's a nasty misogynistic little man.

blueshoes · 15/04/2020 12:30

This is not ok. What we are watching is the tip of the iceberg. I don't feel safe for his wife or children.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 15/04/2020 12:34

Very uneasy to watch. both clips. What a prick. His feeling superiority and hatred is palpable. If he thinks it’s acceptable to release such videos I wonder what happens when no ones watching.

Miraclescometrue · 15/04/2020 12:34

I do feel uncomfortable watching that first video but is he messing around? Is he one of those people who joke with a serious look on their face as part of the joke eg In the second video, he doesn’t really mean she’s dead to him over being late to the dentist? Their usual fans would get their banter.

Not sure in all tbh.

Lolaesque · 15/04/2020 12:35

Saw him in concert a few years ago. Never liked him after that concert. Arrogant and conceited and didn't come over as a particularly nice person, so this video doesn't surprise me.

PostSpecific · 15/04/2020 12:35

Yeah the nuances of this are not nice. There’s a lot going on here.

Quirrelsotherface · 15/04/2020 12:37

It's her face that says it all. Watch her all the way through, she looks like she wants to cry. Horrible.

cittigirl · 15/04/2020 12:38

Hmm definitely not the super squeaky clean man I thought he was. Sad

CrustyPatch · 15/04/2020 12:39

I have never been in an abusive relationship and it looks terrible to me. he looks like a right bully and she looked scared.

Micky Bubble- abusive husband

Ohohohwhereyougoing · 15/04/2020 12:39

Eurgh. Sad

gingersausage · 15/04/2020 12:42

It’s the way he puts his arm round her neck. It makes me feel sick.

Longwhiskers14 · 15/04/2020 12:42

I've never experienced DV but that second video gave me the chills. He's so angry he can barely contain himself. It's like he wants to erupt but he knows he can't.

As for the first shove, that was bad enough, but the way he then pulls her across to him is aggressive too.
