If I asked you to tell me an interesting fact about yourself...

What would you tell me?

I had a conference call today, there was one person from each department of the large company I work for. To break the ice the senior manager asked everyone to introduce themself and give one interesting fact about themself. I despise things like that, I'm quite shy and just completely froze when it got to me and ended up introducing myself followed by 'I'm insanely shy and find things like this painful' luckily the host laughed!

So what would you say?

I can recite many poems of Robert Burns from memory. That’s what a Scottish education does for you.

I once got arrested in a Teletubbies costume. But that's probably not a work appropriate story.....

I once went on holiday and randomly met a guy who had been on the final of Stars in their eyes on tv.. only was a few months after it aired .
I didn't recognise him.but got talking and he was abroad to meet the guy who he had impersonated.
I ended up tagging along to this concert. somehow got in and ended up at this famous singers house for a party .
walked back to our accommodation singing arm in arm with the guy from stars in their eyes.

I nearly rowed professionally for two different countries.

I can recite ”The Owl and the Pussycat” by Edward Lear and ”The Soldier” by Rupert Brooke.

I can also belch words

I had an actress play me on Japanese TV

I am qualified to run an axe throwing range with The Scout Assosciation.

In this situation the fact i use is that I keep bees.

There are weirder things about me, bit I find that one hits an ok level for work.

Mine might be that I got deported from Colombia.

I can flip and catch a stack of beer mats. Ditto coins on my elbow. I can do an impression of a cats back end.

I have nothing interesting about me either op. I once had to do the whole ‘say something interesting about yourself’ thing at a work thing once and just prattled on about my DH and DS’s football playing

I would have liked you straight away if you said that! I'd think you were honest, individual, articulate and brave. Much more interesting than most answers!
