Have you aged ten years overnight on a supermarket website?
Are you sticking to the 'two sheets' rule?
Have you had it with singing celebrities?
Are you yearning for what we will now call The Before Times?

If you've answered yes to any of the above, here's where you come to post threads about Naice Things - like ham and cats. Where The Virus That Must Not Be Named (TVTMNBM) is off-limits.

We'll do our best to keep the corona-free zone moderated - you do your best to chill out and gather strength. Flowers Brew

Keep using the normal boards for normal stuff, but here's where to come if you need a break. We're hoping everyone will see the value of having somewhere to get away from it all.

Thanks,
MNHQ

Sorry that one is so out of focus, he wouldn't sit still for long.

lightlypoached · 25/03/2020 20:21

Splendid. I had roast lamb lefitovers (inc dauphinois potatoes dontcha know) for dinner. How lovely. You?

lightlypoached · 25/03/2020 20:24

Is anyone else waiting for their tulips to flower? A friend gave me two garden tubs that she didn't want last year. I never got round to plant them and thought they were empty. I left them in the front garden and now they are crammed with masses of tulips just waiting to bloom, can't wait to see what colour they are!

flossyflorenceflounces · 25/03/2020 20:25

Ours have just flowered this last 3-4 days so you might not have long to wait.

Our magnolia is about to flower for the very first time, I can't wait to see if it is pink or white or a combination of the two.

theoriginalmadambee · 25/03/2020 20:34

twinguineapig aww 😍 got to find a way to trick them into being combed .
We had a long haired Maine coon who detested being combed/brushed, it ended up being a real problem.

Homemade pizza here and loads of coleslaw to fill up dh and ds.

twinguineapig · 25/03/2020 20:53

We comb them by giving them a piece of kale and then get them out to do it, we haven't done them today though so they look scruffy - we do it every other day.

magratvonlipwig · 25/03/2020 20:57

I have daffodils in a pot of old composty rubbish , where i threw some spspoiled oled mashed up bulbs last autumn 😊

lightlypoached · 26/03/2020 01:37

This is the most 'womany' thread ever. Just like a real life conversation. We ping randomly from alpacas, to chocolate, to blue tits, daffodils and walking and back again (with carrots and baby elephants thrown in for good measure). Bloody lovely. Grin

BitOfFun · 26/03/2020 01:44

Great idea!

tkband3 · 26/03/2020 06:53

I’ve woken up early with horrid throbbing toothache Sad but this thread has cheered me up no end.

Did someone say post pictures of dogs? Happy to oblige...here’s Stanley. He is loving having us all at home and is knackered from extra walks Smile.

Oh no! Tooth ache is baaad. Can you manage it will you need to get it sorted? I remember as a child having a filling of clove it was vile! Envy

Roussette · 26/03/2020 07:19

I'm loving the pics of your dogs and guinea pigs, they all look so content!

tkband3 I hope your toothache subsides. I know dentists aren't 100% operating, but mine rang me yesterday (I did have an appointment today) and I asked him what would happen if I got an abscess or whatever... (I have suffered terribly with my teeth in the past) and he reassured me the phone would be answered and I would be treated...

CrepuscularCritter · 26/03/2020 08:05

In other sunny news, the blackbird here has discovered that flying down our side path while singing gives a doppler effect with echoes off the walls. Either he or Mrs B is very impressed by it, as he's repeating the performance. It's an avian gala performance.

Chemenger · 26/03/2020 08:16

Our blackbird is having a feast on our newly scarified lawn (lawn is an exaggeration really, I should say on our scruffy grass).

Spudlet · 26/03/2020 08:27

I’m being internet-stalked by expensive handbags! I made the mistake of clicking on some links posted in Style and Beauty and now the handbags are following me. They seem to have mistaken me for someone who can afford a lovely handbag, and who doesn’t have to carry things like spare pants (for DS, I hasten to add) and/or damp pants (again, not mine) around in her bag....

They are sooooooo pretty though 😯

TSSDNCOP · 26/03/2020 09:01

Spudlet a catalogue just got thrown through my door (literally! I open and the postman lobs it from the end of the path, it's a little sport we've created) for Cox and Cox. I don't know who this company is, or how I get their catalogue, but for many hours I ponder the gorgeous patio furniture.

Bunnyflop · 26/03/2020 10:08

Hi everyone,

Lovely to see pics of your pets! Here’s a pic of our beloved bunny. He nudges us when he wants attention and loves his ears being rubbed.

Coming up in my garden are some lovely tulips, the variety is Graceland and they are white with pink edging. Also our new blossom tree is coming out in tons of pink buds!

Ordered a new bird feeder, quite a contemporary design, to hang on our garden wall.

Gorgeous rabbit in his/her little (wo)man cave Grin

Bunnyflop · 26/03/2020 11:01

@genfromgrimsby it’s his pop up tent! Smile

genfromgrimsby · 26/03/2020 12:42

and very handsome he looks in it to Grin

Does he have a female bunny for company or are rabbits not like other small furries and live happily alone? We've never had rabbits.

Indigogirl88 · 26/03/2020 12:48

Thank you such a good idea, just had my 12 week scan and super excited! I also just had the best cheese and coleslaw sandwich everrrrr

Bunnyflop · 26/03/2020 12:54

@genfromgrimsby no he lives alone with us. Rabbits are social animals and prefer other bunnies to be around but he had an illness for a few months after he was born and was isolated so he has never really been around other bunnies.

@Indigogirl88 congrats! Smile

TSSDNCOP · 26/03/2020 12:54

Massive congratulations Indigo!!!!!
