I nearly cried in Aldi today

I went to Aldi to do my weekly shop today, as well as pop a couple of extra things in just in case we get stuck (flour, veg to freeze), plus a chocolate milk for the homeless guy outside the store. I only had a limited amount to spend, basically carer's allowance for DS2, so was being quite careful & also bearing in mind that neither DH nor I will be able to work & it's not been a great year already for us.

It was very busy but everybody was being very nice & polite & chatting to each other, which was quite nice. The queues were massive! When it got to my turn & the total flashed up, I didn't quite have enough money for everything, by about £2, so had to put 1 thing back, very embarrassing Blush

But then when I got outside, the lady who had been behind me at the checkout came up to me with the item & said she had bought it & wanted me to have it! She was so kind, I was bowled over. Made me quite emotional that people can be so kind.

I just wanted to share that story because it has restored my faith in humanity. Thank you so much Aldi lady Flowers

After all the stories of greedy, selfish panic buyers, this is really lovely to read Smile

I felt so bad for the homeless guy, so I wanted him to have something that he needed or wanted. As bad as things might get for us, I at least have a roof over my head & a family. He is not so lucky.
