The cafe is still open...

...because I didn't close it over the weekend.

Today's special is eggs.

Boiled, fried, poached, coddled, convent, I might even do scotch eggs.

Tea and coffee as always and toast of course.

Morning all, a bit of a late start today but Florence has been here since early and after trying the farls is making batches of Irish breads including potato breads, so soda bread to start with a selection of jams, cheese, ham or just butter.

@sashh.. oh that's funny, i was just walking past and wondered if you were opening today and i could see the Closed sign was up but there were lights on in the back. So walked past again about 2 mins later and you're open! You and Florence are wonderful!

I want to make soda bread as i can't find yeast anywhere. Anyway please could i have a tea and soda bread and jam or marmalade. No rush. Thank you

I’ll help myself to a cuppa to take out thank you. In rl I feel rubbish today, bad nights sleep then woke up at 6am and couldn’t get back to sleep Confused
Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely day today. Weather is meant to be nice again today then unfortunately rain tomorrow.

I would a cup of tea please and I will try every type of irish bread- yum- thanks @sashh.

Finally got a part of a night sleep last night but the night before it was crying every 30mins. (My little monster dc was crying....not me.)

@BooseysMom i think i have attemped to make a orange soda bread once and it was delicious. Let us know how it goes, if you make it.

@PinkDaydreams hope you feel ok, its horrible not getting sleep. Thanks for letting us know about the weather as I will enjoy the sun while its here.

My cats has just ran into the cafe and gone straight into the garden. He must really like it here.

Is i OK on soda bread? Florance has made so much Irish soda nd potato breads it would be a shame not ot use it.

@sashh.. compliments to Florence. The soda bread was delicious. Nothing like freshly baked bread. My neighbour popped round a recipe for a sourdough loaf without the need for yeast so when we run out of bread I'm trying this

Ooh yum. Can I have some well buttered soda bread, a 'rasher' and sausage? I know it's not usual, but can I have some Siracha or other hot sauce on the side? Plus a Black Velvet to wash it down X

I was thinking of toast as a special. I know that doesn't sound much like a special but toasted bagels with smoked salmon and scrambled egg, sardines of toast, welsh rarebit etc.

Various cheeses, and 'milk cheese' , bacon and beans on toast.

Morning all ,I'll have a bit of anything going this morning with a decaf tea please been awake since daft o clock with the youngest ds he had a bad tooth so instead of telling us he pulled it out but left the roots in and now won't let us ring anyone and then he changed the subject to him needing a new mobile phone , I love the kid to bits but he could have gone and woke his dad instead of ringing me , even the cat knows I'm grumpy this morning she has hidden under the table
