...because I didn't close it over the weekend.

Today's special is eggs.

Boiled, fried, poached, coddled, convent, I might even do scotch eggs.

Tea and coffee as always and toast of course.

I'm not quite sure how the coffee machine works, but I've pressed some buttons and it's making encouraging noises ☺

One bucket of coffee ☕ and I've popped some scotch pancakes in the toaster.
My daughter is refusing to sleep unless on me while I'm sat up. My husband is snoring obliviously.

Has it been an occupied night of no sleep (watching stuff, reading) or one of those lying in bed thinking "I really need to sleep now" nights?

How old is your daughter? I remember them days so well, sleep has evaded me since unfortunately!

For the first few hours it was I really need to sleep now, then it got to 3am and I gave up and started going through MN.
My anxiety is horrendous, I'm in pain too.

@City she's just over a year old. I think it's teeth. How old is your little girl?

@GotTheCityOnLockdown sorry you’re feeling anxious, so much is happening it’s hard not too. Plus I know I can’t help look at the news. It’s always the case when you need to sleep you can’t, but if you need to be awake you also can’t!

Oh bless her (and you .) As much as I look back on those times with no sleep, I still remember the fondness I had for the 4am sleepy cuddles at that age.
Just me and her, all cosy and warm in a dimly lit room, snuggling.
Couldn't beat it!

My little one is 4 now. She talks from the second she wakes up to the second she goes to sleep and has no idea what sit down means

Pigeons It's a nightmare, isn't it? I really am my own worst enemy.

I started to wind down and have a bath, then saw the news about Boris being taken in to ICU and I felt my entire body tense up. I've been in that 'shoulders up by ears' state since.

What are you doing up at this hour?

Daily plans do seem to be rather samey! I'm quite a social animal and really miss interacting with other people. Although today's monotony will be further enhanced by the need to use matchsticks to prop up my eyelids...

Ooo me too. Maybe we could start a trend? Lockdown style; matchsticks, dark circles, coffee and a dressing gown!

I miss social interaction too. Even just popping into the local for one on the way home every now and then.

It's getting on for 6am. Lock down fashion is all very well, but I'm worried that when it's all over I might not transition back... 😂 Here's a scourer for the pan, and sashh did say that we could help ourselves!

Very tired my nearly 2 year old malfunctioned and was up from 2am and has finally clocked off x

@Queenofpi I think I might get banned from the cafe if I keep attempting to cook for people, my recipes are limited and my washing up worse! But pancakes are ready come and get them, do you want lemon or raspberry sauce?

Can you take said child back to have it reset? Otherwise enjoy the downtime 😉

@pidgeons I'm going to leave you to it in the cafe kitchen, surely there must be a dishwasher somewhere? I'm going to drag the father of pi princess out of bed so I can get at least an hour of shut-eye before another day of entertaining a grizzly baby!
