Anita Anand and Paddy O'Connell alot. They sound so warm and friendly. I used to love the sound of Alistair Cooke as well.

Am I alone in this or do others have similar leanings.

In my opinion, no one can beat the lovely Terry Wogan. Although I do have some good memories of late nights with Richard Allison!!

I find much radio rather frantic and a bit annoying these days. Less of the presenters and more music would suit me😁

Grief I sound old... But I am not yet ready to move completely to radio 4.😁

Dermot O Leary, love his voice. He read out my email on his show a few weeks ago - and said my name in a way that makes me go a bit funny.

TheWordmeister · 15/03/2020 18:42

Vanessa Feltz. I just love her voice and her impressive vocabulary.

Johnnie Walker - I used to love him on R2's Drivetime. And I love Stuart Maconie, too. I never listen to R2 any more. I don't like any of the presenters there.

leghairdontcare · 15/03/2020 18:45

I really like Sara Cox at the moment. I always laugh when listening to her drive time show.

wonkytonkwoman · 15/03/2020 18:45

Ah Johnnie Walker. Love him.

Johnnie Walker is my favourite radio voice ever.

BillyN0Mates · 15/03/2020 18:52

Liza Tarbuck

Love her upbeat friendliness

Kubo · 15/03/2020 18:52

Lauren Laverne. She is wonderful and I love her and she plays incredible music.

MarxandMarzipan · 15/03/2020 18:54

Eddie Mair LBC.

mossberry · 15/03/2020 18:55

Not a radio presenter but Prof Brian Cox's voice makes me happy

Bobbi73 · 15/03/2020 18:55

Robert Elms from BBC London

TheSpottedZebra · 15/03/2020 18:56

Not radio but this afternoon i watched a programme on BBC2 with a man with a lovely voice bimbling round the west coast of Ireland looking at lovely nature*. It was a balm to my soul, and I shall find the first part and watch it when needed.

  • nice nature not bloody killing things nature.

Dev & Alice.
Adele on radio 1. But she's on so early I don't usually get to hear much.

ILLBESUZIE · 15/03/2020 18:57

Eddie Mair
Steve Allen
Shelagh Fogerty

I love these three - all LBC

dementedma · 15/03/2020 18:57

Terry Wogan. And then Ken Bruce. Cant be doing with all the young shouty ones.

Fuchsialipstick01 · 15/03/2020 18:59

I loved Terry Wogan but this may be because he reminds me of growing up in the 80s and 90s as my parents listened to him every morning. Also I know he is obviously not a radio DJ but I absolutely love Cillian Murphy when he does Sunday afternoons for Guy Garvey on 6 Music. He is so intelligent and that beautiful Cork voice.

WobblyLondoner · 15/03/2020 19:00

I really like Rachel Burden on R5, very sharp and a lovely voice too. Vastly prefer her to Nicky Campbell.

fastliving · 15/03/2020 19:05

Ken Bruce - even though I'm far too young! (Or at least I think I am)

Ginfordinner · 15/03/2020 19:11

Johnnie Walker - I used to love him on R2's Drivetime.

So did I. He got me through a really difficult time in my life. He makes the listener feel that he is talking to them personally. Terry Wogan was brilliant. I also like Sarah Cox, Liza Tarbuck and Ken Bruce. Sally traffic should get a mention as well - she has such a warm and friendly voice. The chemistry between her and Johnnie Walker was brilliant.

ElizaCBennett · 15/03/2020 19:11

I love Johnnie Walker’s voice. I also used to listen to Roger Scott on Capital years ago, he had a lovely voice.

iklboo · 15/03/2020 19:13

Dermot O'Leary
Sara Cox
Ken Bruce
Craig Charles plays some good stuff when he's covering for Steve Wright

BogRollBOGOF · 15/03/2020 19:14

Ken Bruce (Was a great Terry fan)
Gary Davis
Johnnie Walker
I miss Richard Allinson

I can't stand frantic gabbling with sharp intake of breath.

Rockbird · 15/03/2020 19:17

Currently Vanessa Feltz, Petrie Hosken and Shelagh Fogarty. But I'm an LBC old timer so for nostalgia you can't beat Clive Bull. Such good memories, just a shame he has to do the boring news stuff that LBC churns our 24/7 these days.
