I would be an osteopath - having been taken from crippling pain to ok by one, I am in awe. Gods amongst men etc. That said, I did fancy being a midwife immediately post baby so maybe I am just suggestible.

Oh and actor, my guilty fantasy is to be an eastenders actor Grin could still happen I suppose?!

BigWholeBean · 19/02/2020 21:18

I’m making a huge change and I’m so excited about it! I’ve gone from managing a very high end art gallery, to training to be a nurse. I’m loving it so far. Plus, I’m in a country where nursing is a really well paid profession.

meow1989 · 19/02/2020 21:18

Oh, oh! Or a set designer for films.

Pixie2015 · 19/02/2020 21:19

Florist or cake decorating

YakkityYakYakYak · 19/02/2020 21:20

Solicitor - My husband is a solicitor and I secretly think that I would be better at it than him.

Hassled · 19/02/2020 21:21

A pastry chef. It's a million miles away from what I actually do, but I want to be the person who makes perfect, complicated pastries and cakes for the Ritz's afternoon tea.

goldenorbspider · 19/02/2020 21:24

Personal trainer, to old and chunky now

colouringinpro · 19/02/2020 21:25

Architect/interior designer. It's crazy we have to decide so much when we're so young and just don't know who we are!

VetOnCall · 19/02/2020 21:39

All the people wanting to be vets are bonkers. Bad hours, bad pay and huge amounts of stress.

Can't argue with some of that! The hours and the stress for sure, but I specialised and am now in a senior position so make good money. Have never considered doing anything else so I don't think they're entirely bonkers though Smile

Redhorss · 19/02/2020 21:41

Graphista · 19/02/2020 22:18

I’ve a few people in my circle who have retired from their main jobs and now work as extras and voice talent. So not outside the realms of possibility.

To the person saying about English degree - I got mine in my 30's if you possibly can do it! I LOVED it!

DENMAN03 · 19/02/2020 22:23

An architect, or police, or a nurse but not sure I would be cut out for it.

Maverick66 · 19/02/2020 22:23

I always wanted to be an undertaker

Jux · 20/02/2020 01:56

I would be a plumber. They always have plenty of work, and all the good plumbers I know have 4 or 5 holidays a year.

GlummyMcGlummerson · 20/02/2020 05:04

A solicitor who solely works on cases regarding women's rights. Pro bono. I do actually technically have the qualification - but I never used them and I'd need to do a lot of brushing up and training

HeronLanyon · 20/02/2020 05:10

A music producer
A carpenter.

.......
Like this Undertaker? :

Seriously, I never thought of being an undertaker but having organised more than one funeral, I was very impressed with the person organising everything and with whom I had most contact, and felt I would have been good at a job like that. Too late for me now though.

Foslady · 20/02/2020 07:10

Podiatrist - the thought that I could change a painful foot so someone can walk easily again would be great
