No hot cross buns here
Dh SaId our Collie passed his test at the clever dog lab

He certainly hides his cleverness well at home

But he is called George clooney

TheMustressMhor · 29/01/2020 16:27

He is called George Clooney

Who? Your DH?

And please tell us more about the Clever Dog Lab.

Did your dog get a certificate?

It seems all is well across the thread, we have more than survived today.

I want to talk to you all about the lemon and raspberry tart I ate today.

It looked unassuming.
I never cared for lemon-y treats before.

When I took the first bite, it was like angels landing on my tongue - the flavour explosion and fresh smell transported me back to a hot summer’s day as a child, when summers were endless and carefree.

The flavour combination between lemon and raspberry is incredible and I only discover it now!

7Worfs · 29/01/2020 17:49

Also the package from the Queen arrived - the box was very clean and immaculately taped - one must not let standards slip.

I’m very happy with the Christmas decorations and the Windsor Castle apron. I haven’t tried the biscuits yet.

BabySharksMummyShark · 29/01/2020 18:00

That tart sounds amazing 7 where is it from?

A package from the queen?! Tell me more!

My husband was trying to talk to me, i was scrolling through pictures of royal tiaras and necklaces from history on instagram and completely ignored him 😂

I am glad little hippo is ok and teenage cinders is back!

Toddler shark has been snuggling on me all afternoon after being a terror in town, swings and roundabouts!

TheMustressMhor · 29/01/2020 18:01

Well, you have more self-control than I, 7Worfs.

I would have eaten all the biscuits the moment they arrived.

Sod the apron. Priorities.

Oh, and having "hidden" Thread 15 I experimented by "hiding" lots of other threads today.

I has been a revelation for my mental health.

They are simply No Longer There. Win-Win.

Haha! It makes such a difference doesnt! I hide threads that make me ragey or roll my eyes so much they get stuck in the back of my head

CatherineOfAragonsPomegranate · 29/01/2020 18:39

Ahh so glad everything is well Cinders

That lemon and raspberry tart sounds delish 7Worfs How greedy not to share!Envy

The banana and coconut cake with custard was bliss I tell you. I added some flaked Almonds and a sprinkle of nutmeg and cinnamon. Had it this afternoonBlush

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 29/01/2020 18:52

All is well on Thread 15, Mustress. Everyone is friends again and it is safe to dip your toe in, if you so desire. (Having said that, nothing new is being discussed so you may as well not bother).

I love lemon in any format, but lemon polenta cake is perhaps my favourite. I want to know more about that lemon and raspberry confection, 7!

CleansUpDragonPoo · 29/01/2020 19:09

Lovely to come in and catch up on good news about the state of teenagers and babies. But still trying to get my head round cooking with Coke or that bubble-gum tasting Dr Pepper.

Am sipping a glass of a rather nice Italian white while contemplating what to have for dinner, have several frozen batch cooked options, but might skip those and go straight for the tart au citron with fresh raspberries, given previous threads. When in doubt, start with dessert!

Once that's done, I'll have the strength to catch up on H&M15, pleased to hear it's a bit more friendly, hope that hasn't changed by the time I get there.

7Worfs · 29/01/2020 19:09

The divine tart was procured at the local bakery.
It had a base that was just right, crumbling only AFTER you bite it, and no crumbs spilling everywhere.
The lemon cream had a medium thickness, I liked that it offered a bit of substance. Lovely tasting too, just a little bit of zinginess, tempered by the raspberries (of which there were many, piled on top of each other). They were fresh and smelled lovely. There was also a sprinkling of icing sugar on top.

Shark the package from the Queen is an order I placed with the Royal Collection online shop Crown Grin

goldierocks · 29/01/2020 19:17

Just catching up with everyone's news, good to hear the positive DC updates.

Had another seizure yesterday bloody epilepsy but I'm ok! I missed the corner of my kitchen island so got away with minor bruises.

Do you like lemon 7Worfs? Limoncello is one of my favourite shots, I don't know anyone else (apart from my adult DS) who likes it.

I've often though we (as in the English language) needs a specific word for my child who is over 18. How about chadult?

7Worfs · 29/01/2020 19:21

P.S. Shark if you like tiaras you'll love the royal fashion thread on S&B, if you are not there already.

Also, marvel at this majestic beast posted in The Litter Tray HERE

Cindershasacollie · 29/01/2020 19:28

The collie isolated George clooney
Not sure if he got a prize for being clever
Dh seemed confused and he's a vet

Fingers crossed with ds
I love lemon cake

Cindershasacollie · 29/01/2020 19:29

Flipping phone is changing my words

BabySharksMummyShark · 29/01/2020 19:52

Oh 7 that sounds amazing! I want one! Lemon and raspberries are two of my favourite flavours/food based things.

I have lurked and lost track but i may go back in! I love pretty dresses and anything that sparkles!

Oh no goldie are you ok?

Chadult sounds like a good name! Tell me honestly are teenagers really worse than toddlers?

Also 7 that cat is cuuuute! Id like a cat sadly im allergic 🙁 there is a hypoallergenic breed but they are expensive!

CleansUpDragonPoo · 29/01/2020 20:01

Goldie that's terrible to hear, so glad you missed the corner. With talk of the clever collie named George, wondering if you've considered getting an epilepsy dog, I hear they are amaing at predicting seizures>

CleansUpDragonPoo · 29/01/2020 20:01

Amazing

7Worfs · 29/01/2020 20:14

When was that post from goldie I didn't see it Sad

I hope you are feeling better goldie, and have ways to minimise impact

goldierocks · 29/01/2020 20:27

Aw, thanks. I've had some pretty big seizures this past year. The one at the checkout in Morrisons was particularly bad - I went down face-first onto the conveyor belt and ended up with a proper shiner. Luckily my OH was with me and the staff were also brilliant.

I've recently had to change my meds due to supply issues, just need to work out the right dosage of the new ones.

Not heard of epilepsy dogs, they sound cool! TY for the suggestion, I'll definitely do some research. I very much doubt I'm anywhere near bad enough. I also wonder how it would fit in with my two cats and five tarantulas, lol.

It would certainly make a change having a pet that served me, rather me being treated like member of staff!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 29/01/2020 20:28

Glad you escaped serious injury Goldie but bad luck re the seizure. Hope you feel better now.

Tell me honestly are teenagers really worse than toddlers?
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

They are worse, and what's more they HATE you and it's all your fault!!! 😡

7Worfs · 29/01/2020 20:31

Are the cats not attacking the tarantulas? Shock

I wouldn't object to having a look at them, but we might have posters who wouldn't like it, have you posted photos of them in the pets section?

GracefulHippo · 29/01/2020 20:34

goldie, so sorry to hear that. Hope things get better.

myimaginary nooooo. I don’t want it to get worse. Between worrying about my children and failing at making especially my almost 11 yo listen, I cannot even imagine being hated and told everything is my fault!!! Just no!!

About to have a glass of chilled white wine to celebrate the end of a trying day. < bliss >

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 29/01/2020 20:50

You might be lucky graceful. One of mine pretty much stayed in her room for most of her teens. Another one seemed to sail through. But the middle one . He's lovely now though!
