Do you wear pants with tights?

Wore tights for the first time in forever yesterday, DH asked why pants with tights as the top bit is thicker and quite substantial (although not when stretched round my fat arse!). I thought everyone wore pants but it made me wonder? I have in the past worn them over the tights to stop the hanging crotch thing, but surely everyone wears pants or have I been doing it wrong?

I wear pants under my tights... and if they’re the type to start making their way south after 20 minutes I also stick a pair on top to keep them up. Best thing ever

I remember as a child wearing an extra pair over tights to keep them up (plus the pair underneath)

Of course I wear pants! Tights aren't made from a nice, hygiene-friendly material like cotton.

If you have to wear two pairs of pants you are buying the wrong size tights.

Not necessarily. All the tights I buy are based on height. I’m 5ft.. so tells me to but small. But i also have huge thighs and am basically as wide as I am long, so smalls either don’t have enough material left to reach my crotch, and anything bigger there’s too much material they just slide down and are too big on the waist.

We can all win with promotions unfortunately :(

I can see why it would seem that there is a "built in pair" but the seam & the material I wouldn't want next to me other than on the legs!

Nylon does not absorb moisture so sweat is trapped against your skin, creating a breeding ground for odour and infection in the crotch area, it also doesn't move with your body as cotton would, causing chafing

I used to, then I bought those Snag tights. A revelation!

And I promise I have no affiliation to the company whatsoever, I’m just so pleased I found tights that don’t fall down or roll down.

Ugh the thought of wearing a pair of tights with no pants is grim to me. Yes pants...absolutely pants.

Stockings are just an longer alternative to socks.

I know somebody who used to wear stockings and no pants. It cured her chronic thrush.
