Which TV series did you used to enjoy but can't rewatch?

I was a huge Sex and the city fan when it was originally on and later got the DVD box set, but if I catch any of it now I don't enjoy it. I guess part of it was that as a teenager their life was so glamorous and exciting whereas now they all get on my nerves and none are particularly likeable.
Which shows are you disappointed by when you go back to them?

I'm the same with Sex and the City! They're not very nice people and so self absorbed.

Quantum Leap. I loved it when I was younger and wondered if my DC might enjoy it. Downloaded it on Prime Video and started to watch it by myself - sheesh, the attitudes towards women! It's not travelled well, sadly.

Talking of kids shows I saw an episode of Superted on YouTube a few weeks ago as I thought my youngest may enjoy it. Turns out to be quite offensive and racist so won't be showing her after all.

ER. Was so emotionally invested.

Dexter! Too much gore

The Hills. I watch it now and I can't believe how fake it is and I don't know why I enjoyed it.

The Inbetweeners. I think this is a more a case of that I've seen the episodes too often, and now if I see it on E4, I can't bear to even leave the channel on.

I tried rewatching Dawson's Creek

It's utter shitness was a terrible shock.

I couldn't even last as far as Pacey/Joey which was the best storyline.

I tried to rewatch ER..but I’ve become a nurse since I watched it first time round and the medical inaccuracies drove me bonkers!

Also Glee..I liked it first time round although it was never as good as I thought it could be. It came up as an option on Netflix but with all the revelations of cast members I wouldn’t feel comfortable watching it again now.

How I Met Your Mother.

What a wonderful series, right up until the last few episodes in the final series. What an awful ending. Could never re watch it knowing how it ends, no matter how much I enjoyed it.

Oh yes Dawson’s Creek! Over articulate navel gazing. I rewatched but once they get to college it’s just dire!

The West Wing. I adored it, but the contrast with the current White House is too depressing.

I think it's THE television disappointment I'll never get over.

Game of Thrones. No way I'd ever watch it again knowing how badly they screwed it all up in the end.

I feel nostalgic when I think back to how much I loved it. I broke up with a boyfriend and re watched it all as I bought the box set.

It is so awful now.

One thing I will.never get tired of though is Only Fools and Horses. I just absolutely still love it every time.

My DH and I were saying this about Game of Thrones the other day. I want to watch it again, mainly because I can't remember how certain people died. DH has refused because of the ending.
