Do you think you’re a bit odd or do you think you’re completely normal?

I have a theory.

I am very weird.
And I give no apologies... Or fucks!!

Since doing MN I realise I’m less normal than I’ve suspected.

I think we are all a bit weird.
Since getting to know children and families through work, it’s pretty obvious that most people have ‘issues’ and life isn’t rosy for anyone.

I’m definitely weird. Never really fit in at school but the older I got, the more I learned to mask, the more people seem tolerant of difference and the more I realised everyone is a little odd - I wasn’t very popular as a child but I have loads of friends now.

Never met a "normal" person in my life!

If I was rich, I would be considered eccentric. As it is, I'm just plain weird. The difference between the two seems to be purely financial.

Yep. I think I’m a bit weird. Feel awkward a lot of the time and disagree with various popular opinions or customs and hate people who do things just because everyone else does.

I also thought life would get easier as you get older but feel it gets harder and more complicated

Spent my entire childhood thinking I was normal. Got to about 20 and realised I am weird and I love it.

I'm a bit odd. Not bothered by it. I fit in enough to get along with most people, but am happy to embrace my idiosyncrasies as being a big part of me.

I can spend a lot of time on my own and be happy, I don't think other people would. I put it down to my mum being an only child. All my other wierdnesses are related to having adhd and I embrace them!

A1A1 yes I remember that feeling. I was always confused why my childhood friends had changed in to liking things publically that they told me privately they didn’t, like chart music or fashion. I couldn’t understand a lot of people. Then it clicked and now I know I’m weird and embrace it.

A lot of the stuff we have in our house is weird even by weird standards though.
