She's closed down her Twitter account apparently, saying the Tories won the election because of racism and mysogeny.

She's in denial, so far removed from ordinary life that she hasn't a clue how most ordinary people think. Nothing to do with racism. We had decided we wanted to leave Europe and resented being told we were stupid, uneducated, ill informed etc etc. Every attempt to get the deal approved was thwarted by a Parliament who thought they knew better than we did. And Corbyn is much too far left for most people.

Silly Lily needs to go back to what she does best - singing - and stop trying to interfere in things she doesn't understand.

And of course they're entitled to their opinion. I just don't want it rammed down my throat.

I'm pretty sure 52% of the population isn't racist. As someone who isn't white, I think I'd have noticed if it was that high. But perhaps they're polite racists, being British and all.

I voted Labour and Remain, but it's exactly as you say - the utter tantrums coming from the Left and Remain when they lose is just ridiculous.
It's like with Brexit - the sheer ignoring of the fact that people voted to Leave and demanding of a second referundum I think has played a big part in the Torys getting their majority.
I'm from Northern mining towns and know quite a few people who have never voted Cons in their lives but have for the first time ever as they feel BJ is the only one prepared to listen.
So i don't think the result is surprising at all.
They feel they haven't been listened to for ages and this is the result.
People need to suck it up and just move forward now, imo.

I find it baffling how Labour supporters are being pulled up on being patronising to the “great” British public, whilst the Tories are not. I'm with you on that there's a lot of intolerant views out there on the Left, where they shout down everyone and make more right leaning voters stay quiet then come to the polls.
For every extreme view though, there's a a lot more moderate.
Not ALL are scum as you so charmingly put it.
