Should I leave with immediate effect? Mortified at my own behaviour

We had our Christmas 'do' late November. On Friday we decided to all go for a few small drinks. I arrived late and people had been having drinks for a good hour or so before me.

I'm not really an alcohol lover so a few WKD sends me a bit off the rails Blush

I haven't let my hair down in a very long time, probably not before pregnancy with DC who's now 2.

Anyway, I had a great time and ended up letting my hair down just a bit too much. I involved myself in shots and lots of other lovely tings that don't make you realise how much you're drinking.

I won't go into too much detail but my horrendously embarrassing ordeal involves a flying mooncup.

Should I resign immediately? I don't think I can face anyone again. Everyone seemed drunk too from what I can remember clearly but they seemed far more 'with it' than me.

Yikes, was it your mooncup?!
Do you have a colleague who’s also a good friend whom you can text to ask what they remember??

GrannyBags · 08/12/2019 22:08

What did you do the next morning at work?

youcanonlydraftthefuture · 08/12/2019 22:09

Sammy It was my mooncup, yes! Blush

A few colleagues have text to say they're dying to take me out again soon, what a laugh I am, etc. I can't believe it

I don't recognise this newfound party animal

Granny I wasn't working the follow day, back on Wednesday

I'm torn, I kinda want to/not want to know what happened with the mooncup.

Style it out or say you don't remember much.

GrannyBags · 08/12/2019 22:11

Sorry - mis read the OP! Thought the drinks were in Nov
If the Mooncup was clean then no problem. Everyone gets silly after too many drinks, I wouldn’t worry about it.

justdoityourself · 08/12/2019 22:11

Hope the moon cup was unused?

Bluntness100 · 08/12/2019 22:12

Please tell me it didn't come flying out of you....🤣

titsbumfannythelot · 08/12/2019 22:12

Embrace it, life is too short to sweat the small things.

nocoolnamesleft · 08/12/2019 22:12

It depends. If it was a clean mooncup, fallen from your handbag, brazen it out. If it was a, um, in use mooncup, fallen from somewhere more personal, flee the country.

youcanonlydraftthefuture · 08/12/2019 22:13

A few colleagues were basically curious about how it works, etc etc, and I pulled it out and showed them.

Except it went flying and landed on top of the DJ's speaker. I had to retrieve it with a very sobering walk of shame

Cohle · 08/12/2019 22:13

Oh laugh it off, I'm sure it was fine! Grin

snowybaubles · 08/12/2019 22:13

Ahh, it depends on where the mooncup flew from

blaaake · 08/12/2019 22:14

@Bluntness100 I'm crying!

Xiaoxiong · 08/12/2019 22:14

Pulled it out...of your handbag, I hope???!

DesMartinsPetCat · 08/12/2019 22:14

Pulled it out of your... handbag?

Tessaraqt · 08/12/2019 22:15

You pulled it out from inside you, publicly?!! Fuck OP 😂 I want to go for drinks with you too now 😂

ThomasRichard · 08/12/2019 22:15

WAS IT CLEAN???!!!

MillieMoodle · 08/12/2019 22:15

WHERE DID YOU PULL IT OUT OF?!!

userxx · 08/12/2019 22:15

You pulled the mooncup out of where?

MillieMoodle · 08/12/2019 22:16

@ThomasRichard I can see you are having the same level of Shock as me!

Goodgollymiss · 08/12/2019 22:16

Where did u retrieve it from in d first place????

Lulualla · 08/12/2019 22:16

Would anyone else in the room even realise what it was? It doesn't sound like such a bad thing. The people who would know what it was had asked to see it and how it worked etc, so the mooncup being on show isn't embarrassing as a standalone fact.

commentsbox · 08/12/2019 22:17

I need to know this too

Lunafortheloveogod · 08/12/2019 22:17

Please for the love of all that’s unholy tell me it was in your hand bag!

If not I feel for the DJ.. he must have some interesting stains to clean up.
