Should I leave with immediate effect? Mortified at my own behaviour

We had our Christmas 'do' late November. On Friday we decided to all go for a few small drinks. I arrived late and people had been having drinks for a good hour or so before me.

I'm not really an alcohol lover so a few WKD sends me a bit off the rails Blush

I haven't let my hair down in a very long time, probably not before pregnancy with DC who's now 2.

Anyway, I had a great time and ended up letting my hair down just a bit too much. I involved myself in shots and lots of other lovely tings that don't make you realise how much you're drinking.

I won't go into too much detail but my horrendously embarrassing ordeal involves a flying mooncup.

Should I resign immediately? I don't think I can face anyone again. Everyone seemed drunk too from what I can remember clearly but they seemed far more 'with it' than me.

Haha! No @CarolwithaC a mooncup is a silicon(?) cup that sits in the vagina and catches blood on your period

DecemberSnow · 09/12/2019 00:54

Just gets better 😂

CarolwithaC · 09/12/2019 01:00

@YoureAQuizardHarry
What!?????? Where does the handle to the mug go? Wouldn't that show if you were wearing a fitted skirt or leggings? A handle popping out the front!! I've seen it all now. I think I should log off to be safe. I won't sleep

TimeForNewStart · 09/12/2019 01:05

More a bunged up funnel than a cup.

VanyaHargreeves · 09/12/2019 01:19

😂😂😂😂😂

HILARIOUS

I know a lot of people hate it when posters shout Classics early doors, but this is vintage and better than a lot of stuff already in there.

DecemberSnow · 09/12/2019 01:24

Carol has made this one a classic :)

Carol, Are you messing with us?

Hollyhobbi · 09/12/2019 01:40

Carol means mooning doesn't she?!! Grin

I haven't seen WKD in years. I thought alcopops had been banned? I would love a Bacardi Breezer again.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 09/12/2019 03:05

Just be glad you have raised awareness, albeit in a rather embaressing way yet humourous to everyone else, of a very deserving cause!!!!
At the end of the day it was clean, so no matter Smile as PP have said just own it! And encourage people to look more into this!
(Disclaimer: i love my mooncup and frequently sing praises whilst respecting it isnt for everyone)

Oblomov19 · 09/12/2019 04:15

Ha ha. Things people do at works Christmas parties eh?

StoppinBy · 09/12/2019 11:11

@CarolwithaC LMAO so hard that I can hardly breathe, especially with the follow up post from @Lunafortheloveogod hahahah

CharityDingle · 09/12/2019 12:38

bear your bare bottom eh? What does that mean?

FizzyGreenWater · 09/12/2019 14:40

OP please change your name to TheBriefestOfFlashes

QueenOfTheFae · 09/12/2019 18:00

Erm, why would you put it in your clothes to tell them how it works? That makes no sense at all? Surely you would hold it up and you shove it up your foof this way round

Glitterb · 09/12/2019 21:04

PP I am sure you will be fine!

I have seen people do much worse, one lady once stood up mid meal and pulled her trousers and knickers down to show the table her tattoos....in a restaurant half way through the starters....!

CarolwithaC · 09/12/2019 21:19

@CharityDingle it means when you bear your bare bottom to the public. Not your vag. Some people had thought I had a bag out, but I didn't it was just my bear bottom

NaturalDisasters · 09/12/2019 21:29

@CarolwithaC, you really are the gift that keeps giving.

CarolwithaC · 09/12/2019 21:36

@NaturalDisasters it is Christmas. I don't know why anybody would gift one of those vagina blood mugs to anyone though. I would be horrified if I unwrapped one of those. I suppose it can be used a lot, so yes, you can say it is the gift that keeps giving. Sort of. I hope this makes sense, I'm typing on my grandsons game tab thing. Sorry.Angry

lisag1969 · 09/12/2019 21:43

No don't leave. But don't drink again. Just say you don't remember anything and just leave it at that

NaturalDisasters · 09/12/2019 21:48

I think I love you, @CarolwithaC.

I think everyone on Mn should henceforth refer to their mooncups as Vagina Blood Mugs. Grin

Getoffmylilo · 09/12/2019 21:55

Class act! Own it!

j712adrian · 09/12/2019 22:01

Nah, just apologise. This is par for the course at Xmas dos. And there has been much, much worse.

Still, flying moon cup..... way to go!
