What would you take if you were to spend the night in a haunted house?

Because I'm going to stay in one tomorrow night that is apparently haunted by a poltergeist (I'm sceptical, my mum asked me to go...)
I have to take a sleeping bag if I want to sleep (there are beds but no bedding)
A torch and spare batteries (because batteries drain quickly inside the house apparently)
Food for breakfast, snacks, teabags, milk etc
Phone charger
Pyjamas/clothes and toothbrush obviously.

What else?

So jealous right now, my dad is going to one in a few weeks aswell, we love that kinda thing. I think all I’d need is my phone, has everything on mostly for the torch so I don’t trip ass over tip 😁

cannycat20 · 19/11/2019 22:46

A large container of salt. (And that isn't actually as flippant as it may seem.)

advicegiver5 · 19/11/2019 22:48

I wouldn't. Sleep elsewhere.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 19/11/2019 22:50

Weighted blanket, thermos of cocoa and a ouija board.

Worked in some haunted AF building over the years and never made the most of it. Kicking myself now.

Collision · 19/11/2019 22:55

Extra pairs of knickers.

NationMcKinley · 19/11/2019 22:55

The Pope? Would that be an option?

HappyGirl86 · 19/11/2019 22:55

Please make sure you come back and tell us how it was!!!

QOD · 19/11/2019 22:56

My car. I’d park it and lock it and cower in the footwell

Bigearringsbigsmile · 19/11/2019 22:56

I would take whatever I would take for a normal night away. There are no such thing as ghosts.

Honeybee85 · 19/11/2019 22:57

The lovely saint depiction of Jesus that my friend brought back for me from Greece.
Not really religious but it’s beautiful and would make me feel safe.
A crucifix pendant on a necklace.

Sedatives.

Lots. Of sedatives.

Craftycorvid · 19/11/2019 22:57

Yes, warm clothing (can get very cold on ghost vigils - nighttime in an old house, nothing supernatural); EMF meter if you have one; torch, snacks, flask of tea. Enjoy. Often an interesting if inconclusive experience.

Craftycorvid · 19/11/2019 22:58

Um, the vigil, that is...flasks of tea are usually quite conclusive Grin

CherryBathBomb · 19/11/2019 22:59

Place marking Wink
Please let us know how it goes!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 19/11/2019 23:00

I would take a candle lantern and several candles. Matches, several lighters, or my dynamo hand squeeze torch.
Pillows, fluffy socks, woolly hat.
Tema lady ( and my collapsible bucket ) in case I was too scared to go for a wee Grin
My teddy bear

prezziebox · 19/11/2019 23:00

I think I'd want to take someone who is very stoical and very sceptical and very convinced that there's no such thing as ghosts 😊

isabellerossignol · 19/11/2019 23:37

A large great dane who loves enormous snacks and can dislocate his jaw to eat them?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/11/2019 23:38

What makes her think it’s haunted/possessed?

RhinoskinhaveI · 19/11/2019 23:57

What makes her think it's haunted?
Well that'll be all the ghosts innit👻

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/11/2019 23:59

Cut what do they do? 🙈
