All I can find of PP...nothing of his death

The Queen and Prince Philip celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on 20 November, having tied the knot back in 1947. But on their special day, the royal couple were unable to spend it together due to the Queen's work commitments in London. Royal correspondent Richard Palmer reports that the monarch has official duties in the capital, while Philip is staying at home in Windsor. They have only seen each other twice for short periods in almost three months, but will no doubt have something special planned for when they are together. Since retiring from royal duties in 2017, Philip has been rarely seen in public, and instead spends the majority of his time in Windsor.

TrixieFranklin · 24/11/2019 21:49

A few random tweets saying he has died and they're waiting for the right time to announce it with all of this other stuff going on but nothing of substance or reliability.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/11/2019 21:53

Those rumours do the rounds every few months. But there's never any truth in them and I doubt he's going anywhere any time soon!

WineOrGinOrBoth · 24/11/2019 22:00

I was coming to say the same as Queen

Butterymuffin · 24/11/2019 22:02

Bit shit that he wouldn't get chauffeur driven to London for their anniversary. That's cold.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/11/2019 22:06

@WineOrGinOrBoth He'll probably outlast us all. Eventually all that'll be left on Earth will be cockroaches and the Duke of Edinburgh!

WineOrGinOrBoth · 24/11/2019 22:07

Is it cold? My parents don’t spend every anniversary together. Dh & I don’t either. Last year we were both out with friends for our anniversary- separately. Doesn’t mean we don’t care.

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/11/2019 22:50

I suspect the DoE is very ill and has been for some time. Possibly dementia.

spacepyramid · 24/11/2019 22:51

He's 98, there are bound to be some health issues going on just like there are with most people his age.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/11/2019 22:56

He attended an engagement with the Queen over the summer and looked remarkably hale and hearty for a man of his years.

BelleHathor · 24/11/2019 23:54

Epstein was a cog , a big cog as you say but he was not the puppet master. There was/is (there are good people trying to dismantle it) an international child trafficking ring. Hidden in plain sight for years. Procurers would use social media to advertise children.
www.crazydaysandnights.net/2019/07/the-epstein-diagram.html

If you control the system then you can "D-Notice" the media not to print stories or install the right people to squash stories like ABC and the Epstein story.

I am hoping that it has taken a long time to "bring people down" as in order to allow the victims justice all the people that previously destroyed evidence or helped cover up have been/are being removed. A case like the NXIVM would never have gone to trial a few years ago :

They've had 72 anniversaries! We've gone from anniversary 10 ( swanky dinner on the Thames, weekend away) to anniversary 13 (pub lunch while kids at school) By 72 I'd have thought it would be more 'bloody hell when will it all end' than romantic dinners for 2! Grin

CallmeAngelina · 25/11/2019 08:10

It's not always as simple as "just get in a chauffeur-driven car to London," even for royals.
He's 97, ffs and almost certainly in very poor health now. As we all know, he had a horrific car accident within the last year, and that could have had quite severe repercussions for him that have not been reported. Even without that, elderly people can decline very quickly.
And shame on the poster who suggested it would be very convenient if he died around now. No need for that unpleasantness.

Rosielily · 25/11/2019 08:20

I was somewhat astounded this weekend when a female friend told me she'd been following the news about PA and wondered what all the fuss was about. After all, even if PA had had sex with Virginia Roberts, she was 17 and therefore over the age of consent........

Keepyoursockson · 25/11/2019 08:34

Ghislaine is apparently about to come out of hiding and speak to FBI....
I do wonder about her safety; not for her she sounds appalling, but I want the truth to come out. I suppose it depends on who the truth implicates. I’d be very worried if I was her about being ‘Epsteined’.

Moomin8 · 25/11/2019 08:34

@CallmeAngelina

Personally I reserve my sympathy for the elderly people in the U.K. who can't afford adequate heating. PP is a nasty piece of work, 97 or not... And he's spent a lifetime scrounging off the tax payer.

CallmeAngelina · 25/11/2019 08:39

Moomin, I wasn't suggesting he required your sympathy (which clearly is a finite resource for you); just stating facts. He's extremely elderly, highly likely to be unwell and that may be the reason why he's not been seen wining and dining the queen for their anniversary.
