Here is another thread to discuss the PA interview and its repercussions.

I suspect (Beatrice's) fiance will wheel spin out of it all

Hard to blame him if he did - even allowing for the dubious timings of them getting together in relation to his other family

There is after all a bit of mileage between shagging behind your girlfriend's back and taking on inlaws who support paedophiles

Roussette · 23/11/2019 14:33

ThatLibraryMiss totally agree. Times they have a-changed. But the likes of PA hasn't. In this era of social media,he is bonkers to carry on like he always has.

Meghan's camp as it is so called (labelled by the Daily Fail) has come out saying she is uncomfortable with how PA answered about having sex when he said he would not have forgotten as it is a positive action for a man to have.

What on earth is the Daily Fail to do. They've reported on this and I bet they're in a quandary as to which Royal to attack next... Meghan is the default position normally, but now they've got Andrew too!

BertrandRussell · 23/11/2019 14:36

“ I think if you go back 20, 30, 40 or more years you'll find an awful lot of men whose behaviour was, by today's standards, reprehensible.“
Frankly, you only have to go back 10 minutes.....

@BertrandRussell ** very true.

It's blatantly obvious that JE was the puppet master. One of the puppet masters who try to control the modern day world with money, sex, flattery & blackmail.
A problem since time immemorial.
However social media has done what education & equality has failed to do, by bringing the issue to the forefront & at least people are beginning to see/realise this is not right.
I think PA was blindsided by his own vanity & greed. He didn't think 'hang on, this is all a bit odd, what is going on here?'
What an idiot.

Moomin8 · 23/11/2019 15:07

Prince Charles was good friends with Jimmy Savile right up until his death.

The royals just generally aren't good people unfortunately.

Bluerussian · 23/11/2019 15:19

In Beatrice's position I wouldn't have a wedding like her sister's but perhaps go up to Scotland for it and have less media coverage. It's not her fault her dad's in the s**t but I can imagine crowds of people in the streets of Windsor being rather unkind because of him. She can still have a lovely wedding with close friends and family, only with less fuss. If she married in Windsor it would be almost a carbon copy of her sister's wedding.

Is her fiance really that bad? I know he has a child with an ex but so do lots of people. I knew nothing about him walking out on girlfriend when the child was a baby, maybe the pair of them had come to the end of the road in their relationship.

I've looked it all up now, it seems like they had an amicable break up (were engaged), and share custody, he dotes on his little boy and Beatrice loves him too. Both parents are well off and aged 36 and 37.
Mum and toddler are going to be at the wedding.

I wish them well, they look so happy.

paradyning · 23/11/2019 15:21

There was a blind not so long ago that he's cheating on her already. But it's a blind so who knows. They did get all this Epstein stuff right, for years and years.

AnyMinuteNow · 23/11/2019 15:22

I do wonder how much their own grooming has played a part in this.

I can't count the number of times I've heard of those surrounding abusers beig completely oblivious, despite there being signs.

I am not defending it at all, just that theres a lot of powerful socialising and grooming at work.

I don't think its at all about years gone by, its current and rife.

Modern day slavery is rife, and the death stats on women dont reduce over the years.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 23/11/2019 15:26

You’re totally right there. However I don’t think randy Andy has caught on. He’s still living in that world isn’t he? The whole tone of the interview suggests he doesn’t get why there is public outrage at all.

Yes I do.

I see that Beatrice's fiance (Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi) was engaged to American-Chinese architect Dara Huang for three-and-a-half years and they share a two-year-old son.

Dowser · 23/11/2019 15:35

I honestly couldn’t give a monkeys about BeatriceS wedding
Good luck to them
With a slimmed down monarchy that we should have had ...we wouldn’t even known more than their names.
Peter and Zara Phillips or the Wessex two were never foisted on us
Neither should these have been
Andrew and fergie again with their sense of entitlement

Inkanta · 23/11/2019 15:42

Talking of Fergie. I always thought she was a bit of a whipping boy and felt sorry for being banished from the family and denigrated the way she was. Always thought there was more to it - and that Andrew had his flaws.

Dowser · 23/11/2019 15:42

Yes I saw balmoral and sandringham were owned by the royal family.
Do the RF pay all the costs of their upkeep and servants, or is that passed onto us
Where does the duchy of Cornwall money come from?
Where does the duchy of Lancaster come from?

We know where and whom it goes to PC and queen, where has it come from.

Are their families in Cornwall and Lancaster paying huge child care charges, who can’t get their feet on the housing ladder because money that migh5 help fund child places in a nursery is being siphoned off

If I lived in either of those counties those are questions I’d want answering

Inkanta · 23/11/2019 15:45

Truth will out - truth becomes public in the end.

TwistinMyMelon · 23/11/2019 15:48

I still don't believe they're reptiles though! Just horrible humans

Bluerussian · 23/11/2019 15:49

I don't know about Lancaster but Cornwall provides employment and generates income for the people who live in that particular area and they speak highly of Charles who is very committed (or should be :-) ?), 'involved' might be a better word. Well he's got to be good for something.

duchyofcornwall.org/careers-with-the-duchy.html

Dowser · 23/11/2019 15:52

I saw he got £16 million from Cornwall in 2016
A lot of money from an area that relies heavily on tourism

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/11/2019 15:55

Pitch@Palace is not a charity, despite the Fail continually describing it as one. Neither is Travalyst, one Prince Harry's pet projects.

It makes me really cross to hear organisations set up for personal benefit misdescribed as charities. It's a fundamental principle that charities exist for the public benefit, and that any personal benefit must be incidental to its aims. Grrrr!

Bluerussian · 23/11/2019 16:11

He could give me a bit of that £16m Dowser, he wouldn't even notice it had gone.

Anyway good for them.

derxa · 23/11/2019 16:14

Because I think the real story behind the relationship between PA, JE and GM isn't the allegations of sexual abuse and trafficking per se, it's the production-line style blackmail of global political, cultural and business figures who took advantage of the underage girls, and were filmed and photographed doing so. And what that blackmail was used to achieve in the political and global realm.

I agree

ParkheadParadise · 23/11/2019 16:27

In Beatrice's position I wouldn't have a wedding like her sister's but perhaps go up to Scotland for it
Don't bother coming to Scotland, No one is interested in you or your fucked up family.

AnyMinuteNow · 23/11/2019 16:30

Like the interview, why is this thread about anything other than the victims in this. The trafficked and raped children.

I couldn't give a damn about imoacts on weddings and money for or from the duchy, blah blah

Roussette · 23/11/2019 16:45

Of course we support the victims. in them getting justice, everyone wants the truth to come out. Of which PA is part.

SerendipityJane · 23/11/2019 16:59

Returning to the photo ..

TL;DR is that unless anyone here has the original photo in their hands to forensically analyse, it's all unproductive speculation. There are any number of reasons why the photo as we see it may not look authentic, none of which actually mean it isn't.
