Puppies first night and he’s fallen asleep on me-should I wake him?!

He’s had such a busy day, very little rest he’s just been too excited. He’s just crashed out on my knee. Tried to transfer him to his pen but he started howling. I feel very out of my depth (exactly how I felt first night home with DD!) do I leave him sleep? Do I wake him? Help!!

You take him to bed with you Wink

Yes let him sleep whenever he wants.

DuchessofManchester · 15/11/2019 18:42

I'd definately let him sleep on you and enjoy puppy snuggles! And we'll be needing a photo too Wink

FayKnights · 15/11/2019 18:43

I’d let him rest for now, they like to hear a heartbeat when they are tiny.
They get big so quickly, enjoy having a snuggle!

I’m not a dog expert but I’d leave him. If it’s his first night away from his mum and siblings he needs cuddles in my opinion (plus puppy cuddles sound snuggly)

FayKnights · 15/11/2019 18:43

ooh yes please to a pic 😁

1vandal2 · 15/11/2019 18:44

Let sleeping dogs lie. And give them all the cuddles. You are now a slave for life so act like it xD

Winterdaysarehere · 15/11/2019 18:45

Mm dpuppy indeed.
Not falling for that....
No pic - it's all lies obviously...

Photo photo!

Poochie284 · 15/11/2019 18:46

But what do I do tonight?! We’ve got his pen and bed all set up, just lie next to him and hope he settles?! I’m a soft touch, i had DD in bed with us until she was 3!

Also, he’s peeing all-the-time! He’s 10 weeks but if I don’t put him outside every 15 mins he has a little wee on the floor, only a tiny bit though but where’s it all coming from! He does wee everytime I put him on grass which is good.

Chasingsquirrels · 15/11/2019 18:47

Mine is 2, and is asleep on my knee right now (for all my dogs-aren't-allowed-on-the-furniture intentions) 🙂

Autumntoowet · 15/11/2019 18:48

The real question here is “should I take a pic and post it?”
The answer is yes

Poochie284 · 15/11/2019 18:48

When you can prove you actually have a dpuppy you may get the requested advice!!

Winterdaysarehere · 15/11/2019 18:49

Ah cute.
Even a toe bean included!!
Excused for the lateness op!!
Obviously you need to enquire which pillow he would prefer when you both get upstairs.

Chasingsquirrels · 15/11/2019 18:50

Oh oh oh - I want a puppy!

DogAndCatPerson · 15/11/2019 18:50

What a cutie.

Didiusfalco · 15/11/2019 18:50

I need to see a picture ! He’s a little baby, in a strange place, he needs the comfort of not being alone.

Poochie284 · 15/11/2019 18:50
