Is there already a thread about the instamum dramas involving MoD today?

Shameless Placemarking for either a) bedtime reading or b) deletion message.

mustangsly · 07/11/2019 14:23

@OopsUditAgain Absolutely. And she slated CC for a good while before even mentioning her own family.

ChristmasComeEarly · 07/11/2019 14:24

Is she still using her original Instagram name? I can't find her on there anymore? It's all blank.

I have strong suspicions she used to post frequently on mumsnet on the instamum threads a lot too. Her writing style is pretty distinctive. I think Clemmie is as addicted to forums as the rest of us Grin

MarshaBradyo · 07/11/2019 14:28

I don’t blame her really they’re probably all at it. But going on about being friends is stretching it a bit.

I wonder if the others are upset or just pleased they get put in spotlight again.

lostlondoner · 07/11/2019 14:28

You could not make this up!

It's made it to the news as well. Grazia anyway.

I just wish she would take ownership. Her apology does not do that. She needs to scale it back. Leave her kids out of it. Turn off social media for a while. Stop with the consumerism and have a good hard think about who she used to be. She's an absolute narcissist. Terrible terrible behaviour.

OopsUditAgain · 07/11/2019 14:32

Oh yeah the instamum reaction is well over the top. Well I guess they are now realising the same as a lot of followers: that instagram is fake fake fake and just people out for themselves pretending to be your mate to sell you crap.

tiggertogger · 07/11/2019 14:37

Was she aliceinwanderlust on here too? If so, she created a rather complex back story. One would have to have waaaayyy too much time on their hands to do that.

BanKittenHeels · 07/11/2019 14:40

She could have just about got away with glossing over this, taking a break and then coming back around Christmas but I expect it making it into the media has forced her hand and she has had to make a statement.

As to professionally. I’m not a nurse/midwife but my professional body (also healthcare) do not look favourably on bringing the profession into disrepute via social media or indeed traditional media.
MOD trades on her profession, her expertise is her bread and butter when it comes to podcasts, books etc and they all contribute to her huge online following.
Being accused and admitting to bullying whilst trading on your profession, certainly in my similar field, would lead to investigation. Social media in particular is taken very seriously.

This whole 'Insta-Mums' scene seems rife with bellends.

@Celebelly - agreed, entitled bellends.

Skyejuly · 07/11/2019 14:50

She joined tattle and her first posts were slagging off Cash not defending herself so that's a lie.

OopsUditAgain · 07/11/2019 14:53

Alice gaslighted everyone about CC.

100% not sorry just sorry she was caught! Maybe she should just delete instagram and accept she was wrong.

OopsUditAgain · 07/11/2019 15:10

She’ll certainly have to get rid of that Be Kind poster in her dining room anyway Grin

Wer2Next · 07/11/2019 15:10

What did she say about cash carraway?

MoonahStone · 07/11/2019 15:13

Grazia have a good summary graziadaily.co.uk/life/in-the-news/clemmie-hooper/

NotACleverName · 07/11/2019 15:18

I guess this is what happens when you start to believe your own hype and think that you’re untouchable. 🤷🏻‍♀️

TryingToBeBold · 07/11/2019 15:21

So.. this is new to me
I didn't know "instamums" was a thing
I didn't know "tattle" was a website
And I don't have a clue who these people are..
I get this MoD person.. may not be very nice and it seems like a lot of you don't like her.. but I have just had a quick look on that site.. and there is thread after thread, berating her, slagging off her family, kids, clothes, life.
I'm not saying what she has done is right and (not knowing a lot), may have been the actions of someone desperate to be accepted.. and fit in. But some of the comments are not needed. You may not like someone but thread after thread of what can be seen as bullying comments. She may have done the same in return (pretending to be someone else whilst doing this).. but people have committed suicide for less.
Social Media is vile. And destructive. For EVERYONE. Not deserved just because you dont like someone (aimed towards MoD too).

Pitterpatterpettysteps · 07/11/2019 15:21

I almost feel sorry for her...

TryingToBeBold · 07/11/2019 15:22

I am not saying all be friends.. but people have literally killed themselves over comments like the ones that have been made.

RexDangerVest · 07/11/2019 15:35

Well you have a point @TryingToBeBold especially as she is obviously desperate to get rid of negative comments and have people like her 😕

HowlsMovingBungalow · 07/11/2019 15:37

Oh the irony - the woman in question signed up to a gossip site to bitch about fellow influencers.
