What’s the FIRST thing you would buy if you won the lottery

Feel free to be as shallow as possible. Forbidden choices include: paying off your mortgage, going on holiday or charitable donations. You know, all the stuff we’d all actually do with a lottery win Grin

Mine would be to buy a really bloody nice handbag (never had one).

(Then of course I’d move on to the boring but important stuff).

NoFun21 · 03/11/2019 18:08

A house in a forest with a natural swimming pool somewhere like Italy.

Lessthanzero · 03/11/2019 18:09

Landscape my garden

sunshinegirl28 · 03/11/2019 18:10

A tesler and a personal trainer and cook!!

AdalindMeisner · 03/11/2019 18:21

Well aside from a period house (currently rent and will likely do so until I die), a home and an animal business for my eldest almost adult child and a home and funds to equal the business funds for dd2 (she wants to be a ballerina prime minister).

My first frivolous purchase would be full dental work - poor self care due to MH issues has meant my teeth are a mess.

MrsWooster · 03/11/2019 18:22

Staff. I’d get a deep clean of the house, a professional declutterer, a housekeeper who comes in daily and organised everything-Mrs Danvers without the murderous psychosis (tho tbh I’m not that fussed by a bit of murderousness if s/he is efficient and stops short of actually burning the house down)

rednsparkley · 03/11/2019 18:33

I'd book in for lipo and a tummy tuck, I'm sick of being a fat fuck.

Then I'd buy a villa with infinity pool on the coast in Majorca. And I'd sort out my family and friends. DH's family can fuck off though 😂😂

dimsum123 · 03/11/2019 18:33

I'd probably buy a bigger house but I love our current house and location even though house is quite ordinary so I'm not sure.

I'd hire a cook and housekeeper, buy a new car as ours is 15 years old.

Go on nice holidays.

Donate lots to animal conservation charities especially tigers and gorillas. Donate to mental health charities especially for children.

I wouldn't buy any 'stuff' as there's nothing at all that I want or need.

Hire a really good tennis coach for DS and build a tennis court and swimming pool. Would need to move house for that I suppose.

I think that's it.

Great thread, it's nice to actually write all this down as I often think about what I'd do even though I've never bought a lottery ticket!

Sarahlou63 · 03/11/2019 18:36

New pillows, new duvets and new bed linen. Lots of it.

thedevilwithbarty · 03/11/2019 18:38

Christmas presents for the DC that are currently outside our price range...they'll be happy with what we give them, but holy cow if I won the lottery I would SPLURGE Grin

amymel2016 · 03/11/2019 18:39

I’d get the first train down to London and buy a Chanel 2.55 jumbo flap bag, I’d then treat myself to a banana split and milkshake at Fortnum and Mason Grin

GatoFofo · 03/11/2019 18:49

A huge, beautiful painting for my lounge wall, and then lots of candles and christmas decorations from the white company.

busymummy19 · 03/11/2019 18:57

A personal trainer and nutritionist/chef to help me get my baby weight off. Currently 38 weeks pregnant.

I'd also buy a top spec all singing & dancing VW Transporter

Earslaps · 03/11/2019 19:05

A Tesla Model X.

Boys have been promised they could have a huge lego set each.

And I'd buy the house next door from the idiot property developer so the neighbours no longer have to stress about what his next move will be!

Catsrus · 03/11/2019 19:05

My fantasy

Do up this house and garden to my taste, hire a full time housekeeper and regular gardener.

If it was a huge euromillions win I'd buy a house with garden near to Hampstead Heath and move back to London, still get the housekeeper and gardener! I'd spend my days at art classes and going to galleries and museums and walking the dogs on the heath. I'd come home to a clean house and never have to despair about bindweed again.

PurpleFrames · 03/11/2019 19:07

The whole pink pepper pod range from Molton Brown and then a pair of trainers or two!!

In reality I'd buy a nice flat with cleaner service and a house for my parents near to me. I'd get a private pyscologist and go on a spa break with all my friends.

TheMasterBaker · 03/11/2019 19:08

Being dull it'd be buying our new house outright and paying off the existing mortgage... but if that's not allowed, I think it would be booking in with a cosmetic surgeon for a total body overhaul. Shortly followed by a Great Dane or 2.

mindproject · 03/11/2019 19:09

A big house abroad with a swimming pool. Then I'd travel a lot.

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 03/11/2019 19:16

I would arrange a personal shopper. A really bloody good one who would come to my house and bring me clothes that made me look fabulous. I hate shopping as i’m crap at putting things together

MoiraRose · 03/11/2019 19:17

I'd get my teeth done have the nicest whitest dazzling smile I've ever had. Not Ross Gellar white though...

louderthan1 · 03/11/2019 19:23
