What’s the FIRST thing you would buy if you won the lottery

Feel free to be as shallow as possible. Forbidden choices include: paying off your mortgage, going on holiday or charitable donations. You know, all the stuff we’d all actually do with a lottery win Grin

Mine would be to buy a really bloody nice handbag (never had one).

(Then of course I’d move on to the boring but important stuff).

I would give half to my partner. Then tell him we were over.
To be fair we have in all honesty been over for a few years but we can't afford to separate. No arguments (well not many) but just nothing and make each other miserable
So yes I put the lottery on every week then hopefully check my e mails next morning 🤞. One day

New crockery, we are still using the bastarding set my DH and his ex-wife got for their wedding. I have been married to him for 15 yrs and he was divorced for 10 yrs before that...

feelinghelplesstoday · 03/11/2019 17:08

@sawyersfishbiscuits I think I already have 6 of everything at EB 😂. Apart from the new Gold Toast which I thought I didn't like but now decided I do-ALOT 😂

Lobsterquadrille2 · 03/11/2019 17:09

A private island.

wineandsunshine · 03/11/2019 17:11

I would go straight to the travel agents and book a family holiday! We haven't had one in years!!

TryingAndFailing39 · 03/11/2019 17:19

Lots of really nice clothes for me and dc, a new car for dh, merlin passes for all of us and a huge holiday apartment in Barcelona Grin

sawyersfishbiscuits · 03/11/2019 17:19

@feelinghelplesstoday Ooh I'm jealous. I absolutely love EB but it's way down the list at the moment! I just have 3 mugs😢

JustaScratch · 03/11/2019 17:20

A cup of coffee, probably. *misses point

AdaColeman · 03/11/2019 17:20

A diamond and sapphire tiara, I'd wear it when eating breakfast on rainy days. Just because I could! Grin Grin Grin

foxyknoxy30 · 03/11/2019 17:20

A lovely vase from John Lewis I saw today but couldn't afford 😂

bumblingbovine49 · 03/11/2019 17:25

Employ a chef or cook to come in 3-4 times a week to cook fresh for those days and do to do batch home cooked meals for the fridge/ freezer for the days they are not there . I'd never have to cook again ( unless I just fancied it ) but still eat healthy home cooked meals . Bliss

Also a cleaner to clear up afterwards

Talk about lazyGrin

Firstly I’d pay someone to look after my charity cat pens that I currently have sitting empty due to my broken ankle and get them full of cats to be rehomed.

I’d stop stressing about job loss due to broken ankle.

I’d take immediate family out for dinner somewhere lovely.

Then longer term I’d get existing windows replaced, house decorated and garden sorted out before looking for another in the country with land for our dogs to run about on, build a big wall around it and prep for a zombie apocalypse/brexit/fire/flood or pestilence.

I’d also myself a canal boat/old barge to escape from husband as required and buy a cottage in Porlock for regular escapes for us and extended family. (Months still a time rather than the odd visit)

Shockers · 03/11/2019 17:34

Two new hips and a house in Funchal old town, for year round warmth on my other creaky joints.

I’m only in my early 50s and most of me doesn’t work properly - especially when it’s cold and damp.

Shockers · 03/11/2019 17:35

Oh, and I’d give up work to help @Therewere5inthebed with all the cats.

I love cats.

havingtochangeusernameagain · 03/11/2019 17:39

bumbling are you me? I would also have a personal chef!

Therewere5inthebed · 03/11/2019 17:41

Thanks @Shockers
I hope one of us wins this week. 😊

bananacakerox · 03/11/2019 17:45

A new bike
Tesla car
A huge diamond ring and weekly sessions at a beautician for hair, mani-pedis and massages.

BrunoLovesMe · 03/11/2019 17:46

A house

rugbychick1 · 03/11/2019 17:49

Chef, cleaner, new car, redecorate house. Board out the loft so DP can put his crap up there and we get the spare bedroom back. Also a trip to Waitrose for posh food, naice wine/prosecco

AwdBovril · 03/11/2019 17:53

A great big kingsize bed, so DH would have all the room he wanted. He is a very tall man! Who sleeps like a car engine... he turns over, and over, and over...

Also, a dog. Because DD would really love a dog & it could keep me company when I'm stuck indoors, & motivate me to get out when I feel well.

We'd obviously need a new house (to accommodate a kingsize bed) & in which we were allowed a dog. It would have a big garden so I could grow weird plants, which I find very interesting.

Charlottejbt · 03/11/2019 17:57

I'm loving the Sindy ballerina and the Tuscan manor! I'd order some pizza (haven't had a takeaway for years) then some books and CDs on Amazon , then I'd buy a big farm with lots of land in France.

dementedma · 03/11/2019 17:58

A house. A proper house after years of living in flats. And a cottage which would be just mine on Orkney. And a holiday home in France.
And shares in Everton for dh to get him to shut the fuck up about them
And an expensive fretless bass guitar for ds.
And a flat for dd1 so she could move out at last.
And..and...and...

Fuckloadofcheese · 03/11/2019 17:58

A black Porsche Cayenne with black leather seats.
And then a home in Paris.
And orthodontic work to correct my overbite!

feelinghelplesstoday · 03/11/2019 17:58
