I got thinking about Gypsy Creams earlier, they were a great biscuit and I fancy one with a cup of tea.
Currently liking a custard cream or a fruit shortcake, but give me some inspiration! What are you partial to?

Telesto · 21/10/2019 22:49

I miss Boasters. They’re still around but much harder to find. Could definitely go a Gypsy cream!
My other favourites are Lotus biscuits or ginger thins.

LemonBars · 21/10/2019 22:56

I miss Toffee Yoyos.

Daddylonglegs1965 · 21/10/2019 22:57

Too many to mention but you have got me thinking about a few that begin with A. Almond thins, Scottish Abernethy biscuits (quite simple but very moorish) and Amaretti biscuits. Also love peanut cookies and chocolate chip cookies.

Redpriestandmozart · 21/10/2019 23:01

Huntley & Palmer milk & honey, my childhood in a biscuit. Yes I am that old!

I miss Trios.

UrkStarkadder · 21/10/2019 23:10

Glad I’m not alone in my Gypsy cream appreciation! I’m intrigued by the Huntley and Palmers milk and honey biscuits, they sound good.

Orange choco leibniz are my current favourite. Grin

AgeLikeWine · 21/10/2019 23:12

It’s a boring choice, but my favourite biscuits are McVitie’s dark chocolate digestives. The combination of sweet yet slightly salty biscuit with bittersweet dark chocolate is heavenly. The milk chocolate ones are just sweet, bland & boring.

OneHanded · 21/10/2019 23:13

Those mcvities coffee ones. I think you can get them in ocado now but I’m vegan!

Redpriestandmozart · 21/10/2019 23:14

@UrkStarkadder

Think posh custard cream with a little window of honey jam :)

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 21/10/2019 23:15

I miss Abbey Crunch

greenflamingo · 21/10/2019 23:16

Oat flips. Phwoar.

feelingchange · 21/10/2019 23:17

I love a viscount, has to be the round ones though none of this bars malarkey

Collision · 21/10/2019 23:17

@greenflamingo

You know you can still get oat flips, don’t you?

Pink wafers and Party Rings for nostalgia purposes
M&S cookies from the bakery section when in need if a sugar hit
And there's just something about a good Digestive...

Ariela · 21/10/2019 23:45

I'm with you on the Gypsy Creams but the one I miss most is the Abbey Crunch - reminds me of my 20s, spending a Saturday morning working on bikes in the garage of my best friend, he'd make us a strong mug of coffee, crack open a pack of Abbey Crunch and gently puff on his pipe while we chatted, so the smell of Old Holborn always brings the taste/crunch of Abbey Crunch to mind. Never found a suitable substitute.

diege · 21/10/2019 23:54

I miss McVities' Chocolinis- anyone remember them? A substantial rich tea-esque creation with a crisp chocolate coating on one side. Possible to remove the chocolate intact and then dunk the base. A real meal Grin
