DH has just suggested that we go to the garden centre 'for a wander and a scone'. Now, 15 or so years ago I would have scoffed in his face had he even suggested such a thing but now I find the idea of a walk round the begonias, looking at overpriced garden acoutrements followed by a scone very agreeable.

We also had a conversation about whether cheese scones are better than fruit scones (we can't agree on this at all).

Is there any fucking hope at all or is this the start of the slippery slope? Anyone else?

Countryfile
Farmers Markets

Even 3 years ago I would have laughed if you suggested using reusable nappies. Now I have a stash!

We went on holiday to Cornwall this year and decided to go all the places we went when I went with family when I was 12. Not because I enjoyed them, but because I fucking hated them and thought they were shit. So I knew I would enjoy them now.

I have always been exceptionally boring and old before my time.

Even as a teen I enjoyed early nights, not drinking, getting up early and going to National Trust places.

So I'm afraid my answer to the question is - nothing.

I think I need a midlife crisis...

I now seem to get a great deal of enjoyment out of having tidied out my kitchen cupboards. I really have totally turned into my mother ...

Sprouts

I've always been contrary. Happy to go out and drink all night, getting in as the sun was coming back up. If my dad had spotted me and said he was off to the garden centre I'd have been with him like a shot.

My brothers just said I was weird!
