We have 3 people, 1 TV. (Living Room)

My colleague has 4 people and 8 TVs
(4 x bedroom, 1 x living room, 1x kitchen, 1 x dining room, 1 x study/snug)

We were just chatting and wondered if it was "normal" to have more TVs than people.i think it is, she thinks she's unusual.

Six people, 2 TVs. All have iPads though. 🙈

GinisLife · 26/06/2019 21:41

4 TVs, 2 people (plus an unused TV in the spare room )

DearLady · 26/06/2019 21:43

DH has a telly in his mancave. He watches his programmes, streamed or Netflix, he doesn’t have the TV channels. I listen to my radio.

lljkk · 26/06/2019 21:47

5+ ppl. 1 TV. DD watches a lot of pirate video on her lappy. DH streams eurosport, too.

I am radio addict, 5 of those, plus 1-2 sort of broken ones.

Just myself and 6 yr old ds - we have one tv in the lounge. I'm going to resist until he is a teenager at least before putting a TV in his room. I don't think it's good for them. Luckily he's not asked yet either.

neversleepagain · 26/06/2019 21:49

4 people, one TV.

Oliversmumsarmy · 26/06/2019 21:51

5 TVs 4 people. Saves loads of arguments

elQuintoConyo · 26/06/2019 21:52

3 people 1 TV, no tablets.

SabineSchmetterling · 26/06/2019 21:53

2 people.
1 proper tv in the living room.
We also have a smallish screen in the bedroom hooked up to an Amazon tv stick thingy that we occasionally watch YouTube videos or iPlayer on. There’s also an older screen hooked up to an older tv stick in the spare room but that gets used once in a blue moon if one of my friends or family stays over and chooses to use it.

TeenTimesTwo · 26/06/2019 21:55

4 people 5 TVs.
Used to work for a TV maker which helped!

londonmarathonhalfwaypoint · 26/06/2019 21:56

3 people, 2 TVs (lounge and playroom)
Smartphones too, but no tablets or laptops

londonmarathonhalfwaypoint · 26/06/2019 21:59

I do get that people have tablets per person etc, or even a tv each to watch different things, but how/why does anyone end up with more TVs than people? Confused

Want them in different rooms! We have 2 tvs for gaming on, plus one in kitchen for while I'm cooking and one in living room.

BumandChips · 26/06/2019 22:05

1 TV in the living room. 4 of us.

boxlikeamarchhare · 26/06/2019 22:05

My parents have London, big house, four reception rooms, TVs in three of them. They use different ends of the house in different seasons. Works for them. They enjoy watching TV. They don't have tablets.

I could easily do it, if I was that way inclined - two receptions with TVs and sofas, big kitchen diner with a sofa next to the garden which doesn't have a TV. My parents would put one there if they lived here.

Just me and DD here.

gollygoodnessgraciousme · 26/06/2019 22:06

6 of us. 2 tv's but one only used about 6 times a year at the moment (in the kids playroom, I'm sure as they get bigger it will be used a lot more!)

nelsonmuntzslingshot · 26/06/2019 22:06

We have one TV (it is a pretty super duper one) in the sitting room and there are four of us. We do have a good laptop and two iPads though.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 26/06/2019 22:06

No. 1 tv, 4 occupants - 2 of whom are older teens and have never even asked about having their own tv. I don't think it's such a big thing any more.

Poetryinaction · 26/06/2019 22:09

1TV
5 people.

floraloctopus · 26/06/2019 22:09

Four people one television.

Montsti · 26/06/2019 22:10

6 TVs - 2 adults, 4 kids (no TVs in kids bedrooms)...

pallisers · 26/06/2019 22:10

5 people
1 in living room
1 in our bedroom (dh would get rid of this but I love watching food channel on Saturday mornings in bed with a coffee)
1 non-working one in office on 3rd floor - should get rid of it.

We never had tvs in our kids' rooms - if we did we'd never see them at all (they are older teens) - bad enough they are on devices on their phones/pads all the time if they had tvs in their rooms they'd never come down and watch The Office or Parks and Recs or Derry Girls with us.

bumblingbovine49 · 26/06/2019 22:11

No. 3 people, 2 TVs
But we do have 5 laptops !!!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 26/06/2019 22:12

4 people. 2tvs (living room and kitchen).

weegiemum · 26/06/2019 22:12

We have 5 people, 2 tv (living room, dd2 room). But ds can watch on his computer and dd1 on her laptop.

So we all have access to a tv.
