We have 3 people, 1 TV. (Living Room)

My colleague has 4 people and 8 TVs
(4 x bedroom, 1 x living room, 1x kitchen, 1 x dining room, 1 x study/snug)

We were just chatting and wondered if it was "normal" to have more TVs than people.i think it is, she thinks she's unusual.

Longdistance · 26/06/2019 21:12

4 people 1 large tv in the living room.

annonymousse · 26/06/2019 21:13

1 person and 1 tv. I keep contemplating getting one for my bedroom but don't think I would really watch it.

dairymilkmonster · 26/06/2019 21:13

1 tv, two adults and two kids

Thing is, computers/tablets can be 'tv' nowadays, altho our boys aren't aware of that yet! oldest one is 8 now so it won't be long before he realises netflix is actually online...

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 26/06/2019 21:14

2 people, one TV, sometimes we go a week without it switching on.

BenWillbondsPants · 26/06/2019 21:15

4 people, 3 TVs, though one is only used with games console.

DramaAlpaca · 26/06/2019 21:17

3 people, 3 TVs. One is DS's & only used for his xbox.

CassianAndor · 26/06/2019 21:19

No, why would I need that?

3 people, 1 television (and 1 iPad, but we don’t use that for watching TV)

ooohhhhcrap · 26/06/2019 21:21

7 tvs and 5/6 people

Dontbestupidagain · 26/06/2019 21:22

1 TV 6 people

KnifeAngel · 26/06/2019 21:25

5 tv's - 3 x bedroom, 1 living room, 1 kitchen.

4 people.

Russiantsar · 26/06/2019 21:31

4 people, 5 TVs

CakeNinja · 26/06/2019 21:32

5 people, 5 TVs.
One in the front room, one in the kitchen, one in our bedroom and one each in the teens rooms (which they never ever switch on!).

AnnaNimmity · 26/06/2019 21:34

nope, 2 tvs 8 people. No TVs in bedrooms at all.

Until recently only 1 tv. I branched out because the 1 tv was continually booked by the PS4 and I never got to see the news.

ilovepinkgin33 · 26/06/2019 21:34

4 people 6 TVs

NewAccount270219 · 26/06/2019 21:35

We only have one TV for three people (admittedly one of those is a baby) but if we start counting devices that can be (and are) used to watch television then there outnumber us about 2 to 1.

MarshaBradyo · 26/06/2019 21:36

We seem to have a few devices floating around too

The laptop gets the most use out of everything

NewAccount270219 · 26/06/2019 21:36

In general I imagine the number of actual TVs is going down on average as portable devices go up. I've noticed that my parents (who used to have pretty much a TV in every room) have been slowly getting rid of them, but they just use their tablets instead

boxlikeamarchhare · 26/06/2019 21:37

2 tvs, one in snug, one in sitting room. Two people. We only use the sitting room itself and the TV in there once a week on average.

PP is right, every smartphone, tablet and laptop is essentially a TV if you want it to be these days.

itsmesoitis · 26/06/2019 21:38

5 TVs 2 people! Blush

In fairness, we had family staying for 2 months so put two borrowed TV/DVDs in the spare rooms to give them some private time if they wanted it. Will be back to 3 Living Room, Kitchen and Bedroom soon!

LizzieMacQueen · 26/06/2019 21:38

Good question.

We have 3 TVs: 5 people but one of those is exclusively for the cycling thing my DH does. Then one is in a sitting room we rarely use. I find my DC don't really watch TV. They are, however, pretty glued to their phones.

SquigglePigs · 26/06/2019 21:39

We have 1 TV and 3 people (although one of those people is only 6 months old so probably doesn't really count for this!). We do however have 4 computers, 4 phones and an iPad so it probably balances out!

ChicCroissant · 26/06/2019 21:39

No, two TV's here and the second one hasn't been used in ages. 3 people.

ineedtostopbeingsolazy · 26/06/2019 21:40

6 TVs 5 people. One in each of the 4 bedrooms one in the sitting room and one in the kitchen.
