I go to very few concerts but I'm going to see my favourite band Rammstein in July and last week I saw the Mongolian Rock band The Hu in concert and they were absolutely incredible, even better than I'd hoped.

Which bands are you seeing this year?

Nothing booked yet.
Have already been to SCD live, George Ezra, Shaun Mendes and Backstreet Boys.
I have the taste of a 15yr oldGrin

Corndog · 18/06/2019 19:54

Adam Ant!

MorinKhuur · 18/06/2019 19:55

There's nothing wrong with that, Brillohair. So long as you enjoy it that's what matters. There's no shame in listening to any band imho.

Been to see The Waterboys in Manchester.

Ffsnosexallowed · 18/06/2019 19:57

Have been to see panic! And the divine comedy so far this year. Have the cure booked in August (I think)

Bluntness100 · 18/06/2019 19:58

Gosh loads, just seen Hugh jackman, going to cornbury festival, going to icons festival, seen dirty dc, can't even remember now. We go to something every few weeks.

MsSquiz · 18/06/2019 19:59

I have seen High Jackman and The Spice Girls already, and going to see Bon Jovi on Friday. A good mix of music there, I reckon!

I also have a few comedy gigs to go to this year too

Gizlotsmum · 18/06/2019 20:00

Seen Olly Murs and Muse. Have a few shows booked so seen Worst Witch and have booked Matilda, Six, Peter Pan goes Wrong. Also went to Monster Jam... Now need to stop spending 😣

JaneGlorianaVillanueva · 18/06/2019 20:11

I'm seeing Bloc Party this year 🙌

Really wanted to see Mumford and sons but missed out on tickets :(

I recently saw Nightwish but this is because my DP wanted to see them, they're too heavy for my tastes but had an enjoyable enough time!

Undies1990 · 18/06/2019 20:23

Just back from Download festival yesterday at 4:30am - muddy, tired but feeling fab

Raera · 18/06/2019 20:26

Paul Wella
Jess Glynne (if she turns up!)
Latitude Festival in July
Totally different, saw Ian McKellen last week

Bonkerz · 18/06/2019 20:27

Westlife Saturday. Boyzone in October.
Also got butlins booked in Nov which includes cascada, s club and then another 90s clubland gig in Dec that includes east 17 and liberty x!
I love cheesy music!!!!!!!

Vinorosso74 · 18/06/2019 20:28

Pixies in September and We are Scientists December. Assuming we can get someone to have DD also want to see The Futureheads on December.
Don't go to gigs anywhere near as much as I did due to costs and being a parent!!

Mummyshark2018 · 18/06/2019 20:28

Saw spice girls and they were amazing. Due to see Ed Sheeran in August.

blackteaplease · 18/06/2019 20:29

Saw fat boy slim on Friday and am off to see foo fighters in August. That's about it for now

Seasword · 18/06/2019 20:32

Going to see Dr John Cooper Clarke

movinonup · 18/06/2019 20:33

I can usually only afford one gig per year, Saw 'walking on cars' last month in Glasgow and they were SO good that I'm desperately trying to get to latitude festival so I can see them again.
(They play in Cork soon with Lewis Capaldi and Tom Walker and there were tickets left but travelling from Scotland to Cork was extortionate)

PersonalClown · 18/06/2019 20:35

Going to see Russell Howard live in October and the one I'm most excited about....
Nightmar Before Christmas Live with the cast and a full orchestra!!! I can't wait!!

MorinKhuur · 18/06/2019 20:38

Wow. So many great bands here and some I must check out. I go to very few gigs because with my autism and anxiety I don't like going out at night very often, and there are very few bands that I love enough to want to see them live.

I've seen Frank Turner once, have him again next month, and PUP in November. That's it so far, looking like an unusually quiet year for me!

womaninthedark · 18/06/2019 20:43

Saw Idlewild three times this year, saw The Gloaming (only once this year, but three times last year and more the year before that) and Mike McGoldrick. And Lau - I saw Lau earlier this month. Oh, and started the year with Band of Burns.
Seeing Lunasa this month, Lankum in July and The Martin Hayes Quartet in August, then Christy Moore in October.
Have a kind of Celtic thing going on, I think.

womaninthedark · 18/06/2019 20:43

I'm autistic, too, OP.

MorinKhuur · 18/06/2019 20:45

waves I know that some autistics love going to gigs but I struggle with it. An additional disability doesn't help. It was worth going out for The Hu though and Rammstein are my gods so I can't wait for that even if I'm rather anxious about it.

Have a great night!

MorinKhuur · 18/06/2019 20:48

Thank you! I hope that you do too for all of your gigs.
