I go to very few concerts but I'm going to see my favourite band Rammstein in July and last week I saw the Mongolian Rock band The Hu in concert and they were absolutely incredible, even better than I'd hoped.

Which bands are you seeing this year?

Seen The Popguns and Muse so far. Lined up to see B52s in a couple of weeks, Muse again in September, The Beths in August and Twilight Sad later on in the year.

Am slightly gutted that Florence & The Machine are playing a gig on my actual birthday but I'm on holiday

Saw sclub and 5ive in feb - not really my taste but good fun!
Black rebel motorcycle club (fab) and Alice in chains (brilliant show)
went to Download on sunday and saw Amon Amarth (great fun), Godsmack (really slick show), slayer (can't stand 'em!), Tool (Personally thought they weren't great but they got a lot of love!) and The Smashing Pumpkins who were utterly, utterly incredible.

Off to see Russell Howard in November.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 18/06/2019 22:00

Oh and I saw Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake in April and am going to Romeo and Juliet in August.

And an evening with Margaret Atwood in October.

pinkandsparklytoo · 18/06/2019 22:00

So far this year I have seen Hanson, Adore Delano, Hugh Jackman, and the Spice Girls. Next month I'm going to see Alaska and Jeremy and then in October (I think) I'm seeing the Chemical Brothers with DH.

Whylurkwhenicanjoinin · 18/06/2019 22:07

Rammstein are great, seen them a couple
of times but couldnt justify the price at such a large venue...not been to many this year, Idles, The Blinders, Foals, Combichrist next week, Fontaines DC and Machine Head later in the year

@MorinKhuur I'm going to the Rammstein gig! Hope it's good! I saw them before at Download a few years ago

Just got back from Download last weekend - enjoyed it despite the weather and hoping Slipknot do a tour for their next album so I can see them yet again

I wanted to see Metallica again but they'd sold out

Ginormarse · 18/06/2019 22:45

Saw Foals at Digbeth arena on Sunday. They were absolutely brilliant, probably one of the best gigs I have ever been to. Venue was great (open air and could park easily on side road short walk away) Haven't been to many gigs over past few years (due to having young kids and effort of getting babysitter) but seeing Foals on Sunday reminded me how great it is to see live music, get totally caught up in the atmosphere, and dance my socks off!
Going to see Hot Chip in October and then Vampire weekend in December.
Would have loved to have seen Arcade Fire when they toured last year.

Susiesue61 · 18/06/2019 22:50

Seen Take That already. So excited to take DD to Dublin for Westlife next month , I promised her when they split that I would 😆 And Michael Buble in December. Might try and get to blood brothers too, and we have 3 days at the Ashes in September

MorinKhuur · 18/06/2019 23:09

I hope that everyone has a wonderful time at their concerts, especially my fellow Rammstein MK gig goers
