I'm so impressed with myself. Made the Mickey/Minnie one a few weeks ago, and made the Toy Story one today. The Mickey was an old duvet cover, but I bought the Toy Story duvet cover this morning from Primark. It's far cheaper than buying fabric.

You have every right to be impressed with yourself.

Well done, the dresses are unique!

Gramgram · 18/06/2019 18:29

Wow! Brilliant! Wish I had your talent.

GertrudeCB · 18/06/2019 18:30

Well done OP Smile
I wish I was able to make stuff - no creative tendencies at all .

WisestIsShe · 18/06/2019 18:30

What a brilliant idea! They look fantastic, well done.

Mary1935 · 18/06/2019 18:30

They are great OP and I bet you could sell them too.

AWaspOnAWindowReturns · 18/06/2019 18:31

They're brilliant!

Doobydoo · 18/06/2019 18:31

Fab.....I have not one creative atom....they are really good.

TheoriginalLEM · 18/06/2019 18:34

Fantastic - there's a cottage industry right there!

GiggleMcDimples · 18/06/2019 18:34

Thank you all! I'm off to Florida in a few weeks and can't wait to wear them! Lol

Mary1935 I don't have the patience to make them to sell, I get all sweary when things don't go how it's supposed to. 🙈 lol

I specially like the Minnie/Mickey one. They're brilliant and that's a great idea for inexpensive fabric. Star

DarkHumour · 18/06/2019 18:35

They look brilliant OP. I would love to have your talent. How long does each one take to make?

Pommes · 18/06/2019 18:35

Fabulously made. I'm not sure the Disney theme is my taste, but one with a floral pattern would look beautiful.

Trumpton · 18/06/2019 18:36

And may I congratulate you on your pattern placement . It’s spot on !

I am still shuddering about the off centre lace dress on The Great British Sewing Bee !

Ah I read an article recently about a woman who does exactly this, perhaps its you! 😄 they’re so fun OP.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 18/06/2019 18:38

They are great OP and I bet you could sell them too. No! Don't do that!

That would break all sorts of copyright and Disney are very hot on that. They have teams of poeple trawling the internet looking for just such infringements.

GiggleMcDimples · 18/06/2019 18:39

DarkHumour the Toy Story one has taken me since 12:30 this afternoon, but I still have to hem it and put a zip in it, so I'd say 8 hours in total maybe once it's done. And the Mickey one is lined, so it's double the work so about 16 hours, but it took longer than that because it was my first ever attempt. Plus I had to cut the pattern out which is fiddly. But now I've got the pattern it doesn't take as long.

What an answer to the poster with the bm dress problem!!
You could make her an Elsa duvet dress.

Big 'subtle' Let It Go to her bloody awful 'friend'!

eBae · 18/06/2019 18:43

Those are incredible! Well done!

DontTouchMyCurls · 18/06/2019 18:45

I used to do just that to make circle skirts. I have a one with liquorice allsorts on, got the quilt cover in the sale in Asda. It's a great cheap way to make clothes

DarkHumour · 18/06/2019 18:45

GiggleMcDimples I’m very impressed.... I hope the recipient is delighted with the dresses and appreciates all the hard work that has gone into them! They’re fantastic.

GiggleMcDimples · 18/06/2019 19:03

DarkHumour they're for me for Disney World in a few weeks time Grin

Bendydick it's not me, but I saw the story on Facebook, I had a load of friends tag me in it after they saw my Mickey dress lol

GiggleMcDimples · 18/06/2019 19:08

Curiousaboutsamphire That's why the fabric is so expensive to buy because sly seller has to have a licence for it. I don't intend on selling them, they're for me Grin

Trumpton that lace dress is really off centre!!! I've never watched that series.
