Just that really, what one unsolved crime/mystery/news story do toy wish would be solved?

For me, its Madeleine McCann. It may well just be because of the age I am, its one of the first ones I remember really clearly as it happened.

What about you?

@FiremanKing

I’m sure it was proven that Bellfield was out for a meal celebrating a birthday the night of the arrack.

I have to say that when the story was first in the news and I saw Mr Russell speaking about the dreadful crime, I was highly suspect of him and thought he probably did it.

However, those thoughts were soon dismissed when he was ruled out and he has shown admirable strength of character and nurtured his daughter into becoming the remarkable woman she has become.

I believe he found love again with one of Lin’s friends who supported the family after the murders. I hope they are still together.

I thought the attack was on the way home from school? I might be wrong.

It all seems to be based on other inmates pointing the finger at Stone and at Bellfield.

It’s Bellfield’s way of killing to use a hammer but without clear forensic evidence ....

@FiremanKing

They were walking the rural back from a school swimming gala, (again very similar setup to our school run, through field and quiet foot paths) I’m sure I’d read somewhere that another parent had offered them a life but Lin had declined because it was such a lovely afternoon...

Absolutely heartbreaking!

FiremanKing · 27/04/2019 18:15

Ah right, thank you. I can imagine them chattering away, carefree and happy and then.......

I have just been reading this

www.thesun.co.uk/archives/news/693546/shaun-must-be-so-very-sad-over-lin-and-megan-but-hes-made-me-happy-i-cant-thank-him-enough/

Both daughter and father are inspirational in how they have coped and gone on to live happy lives after such a devastating event.

Lisa Dorrian. As others have said, I’m local to the family. It tore her mum apart. As it would any of us. No body found. But from early days it was a murder investigation. It haunts me what was found at the site to make them so sure she was dead. Her mum died with no peace. And about a year ago the family house had a massive fire (with no insurance 😢) and is still uninhabitable....plus they lost so many photos etc. So sad.

Claudia Lawrence's dad breaks my heart when I see him. I would like her parents to have the closure they need.

Greyhound22 · 27/04/2019 20:00

MatthewBramble me too - I'm local - have you seen the documentary?

Have had some weird experiences in those woods 😬

I posted about Renee and Andrew Macrae back in April. Today Police Scotland have announced they are going to drain Leanach Quarry, near Culloden Moor. Renee and little Andrew have been missing since November 1976, when Renee's burnt out car was found in a layby off the A9. Hopefully it is now time for them to found.
