Gatwick has suspended all flights due to two zones in their airspace. They are now having to find somewhere for numerous planes to land if you want to watch on the app. I'm watching an Easyjet Madrid to Gatwick one. Thought it might land at EMA but it's still going.

is it all back to normal now?

SandunesAndRainclouds · 21/12/2018 19:42

It doesn’t look like much is happening either taking off or landing at the moment...

brizzledrizzle · 21/12/2018 19:45

I just said the same on the other thread, FR looks quiet.

It looks like a Thomas Cook plane has just landed in Ifield... I’m assuming the map is out?!

Another thread... do tell...

CormoranStrike · 21/12/2018 19:51

I certainly hope that map is out!

brizzledrizzle · 21/12/2018 19:59

It's all conspiracy theories and guff like that in AIBU I think.

It's not the map it's the aircrafts transponder that is not 100% compatible with FR24. Quite common, especially with older aircraft.

SandunesAndRainclouds · 21/12/2018 20:13

I assumed it was something along those lines.

KenAdams · 23/12/2018 19:25

Flights suspended at BHX now. My conspiracy theory senses are tingling...

OP posts:
TheLittlestLightOnTheTree · 23/12/2018 21:47

whats going on?

SoleBizzz · 23/12/2018 22:46

BHX is usually dead after 12am

brizzledrizzle · 23/12/2018 23:34

BHX was problems with air traffic control systems.
It's looking quiet now but that is what you'd expect after 11pm.

MulticolourMophead · 24/12/2018 18:20

I'm currently using the desk top version of FR24, and even they have a Santa tracker right now Grin

multicolour that’s brilliant, didn’t know they did that!

Justaboy · 24/12/2018 18:56

Hope this year to be putting an ADB-S receiver thats the gubbins that takes the signals from the aircraft at 1050 Mhz and send it to the services that Flightrader use to provide the service.

Its going atop a large catherdral tower, should be able ot pick up for quite some way there:)

Here's the NORAD tracker for anyone not familiar with it.

And for a bit of a laugh, the Scottish Gritter Tracker, with their funny names.
