Gatwick has suspended all flights due to two zones in their airspace. They are now having to find somewhere for numerous planes to land if you want to watch on the app. I'm watching an Easyjet Madrid to Gatwick one. Thought it might land at EMA but it's still going.

What's the flight number for the TUI plane?

EasyJet flight EZY24QY just briefly showed at LGW

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 23:05

That's the first outbound on the way

SandunesAndRainclouds · 20/12/2018 23:08

Maybe not? Looks like it’s stopped again

CormoranStrike · 20/12/2018 23:10

Showed up then switched off again - hope there’s not been another drone

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 23:12

I can't get my head round this at all, it's off the scale.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 23:12

I wonder if they sent one down the runway to see if a drone appeared?

JustLurkingAway · 20/12/2018 23:16

Back for round 2

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 23:20

Stopped again.

I'm not going to get any sleep again tonight at this rate.

CormoranStrike · 20/12/2018 23:27

Of you click on the cars in flight radar you can see they have been patrolling the perimeters non stop.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 23:28

I wonder if they were moving that Easyjet plane to a hangar?

CormoranStrike · 20/12/2018 23:30

Anyone else getting ads for drones?

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 23:33

Inbound from Kittalia diverting to Stansted, from Gran Canaria to Luton and from Dalaman to Manchester

Rollerbird · 20/12/2018 23:33

What's the GLEX one?

Wetdressinggownsleeve · 20/12/2018 23:34

The flight mentioned above BY163 is still saying it's heading to Gatwick, is that right?

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 23:36

BY163 says it's heading for Gatwick but if you look at the airport in Bulgaria it shows a flight with that number from there to Stansted.

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 23:36

Probably something with it’s transponed on, at Biggin Hill. Unlikely it’s jumoing about in star shape as FR would have us believe!

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 23:38

Its diverting to Stansted

ButteryParsnips · 20/12/2018 23:38

How easy would it be to search the nearby woods to see if the drones are being operated from there?

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 23:39

I'm going to guess there is a lot of searching going on.

CormoranStrike · 20/12/2018 23:39

Drones - even ones you can buy in the high street - can be flown for five km.

BoswelliaGoldMyrrh · 20/12/2018 23:40

The EasyJet plane seems like it was doing a test taxi around the runway... maybe as a decoy to see if the drone appeared?
