Have you ever gone off a celebrity because of something they've done?

I used to really like Ewan McGregor until he had an affair.

Same with Robson Green in the 90s.

I loved Michael Moriarty (still do) but he's become a huge loony and an old soak.

Liked Ant McPartlin before the drink driving and infidelity.

Have you ever liked a celeb and then gone off them because of something they've said or done? Does it just prove that celebs are human like the rest of us?

Zinc we had the same thoughts. I was coming on to say Ronan Keating and his constant..best woman in the world...have some respect for the mother of your children creep!!
And Brad and Angelina..felt mean being glad they split up with all those kids but painful both of them.

Cocolepew · 18/11/2018 19:36

Mel Gibson, I'd loved him since I was 15.

princesstiasmum · 18/11/2018 19:38

Oh, and Noel Edmonds i , thought he was lovely, until a friend of my daughters went on Deal or no Deal, she said hes a horrible man

greendale17 · 18/11/2018 19:38

Roman Keating, Ewan McGregor, Wayne Rooney- all cheated

DesertIslandPenguin · 18/11/2018 19:39

@rightreckoner Emma T did turn up to Buckingham Palace wearing an equal pay pin on her suit jacket when she collected her Damehood. I am still pissed off that she felt it appropriate to wear trainers to such an occasion and paid lip service to equal pay at the same time.

I enjoyed Nicki Minaj's music and admired her kick-ass attitude... And then I found out she had bailed out (and openly supported) her child-rapist brother. She even visits him in prison.

Destinysdaughter · 18/11/2018 19:41

Woody Allen when I heard about him having naked photos of his adopted daughter...😱

StorminaBcup · 18/11/2018 19:42

Freddie Flintoff for being a flat earther.

DioneTheDiabolist · 18/11/2018 19:45

Jonny Depp
Eddie Izzard for turning into a monumental dick.
Stephen Fry, ditto.
Justin Lee Collins.
Mel Gibson.
Joan Crawford.
Martin Freeman for the awful ads.

Disfordarkchocolate · 18/11/2018 19:46

Frank Skinner - so wish I had never read his autobiography.
Eddie Izzard - I was a massive fan, now I know he is a loon.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 18/11/2018 19:49

Olly murrs, when he use to present the xtra factor when people rang in they'd always say "I love you olly" or along those lines and once he rolled his eyes, I thought there was no need. Disliked him ever since!

Freddie's a flat earther?! Are you sure he wasn't taking the piss? Any chance of a link?

I'm in shock.Shock

Mummymummums · 18/11/2018 19:53

I know I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but the George Michael public toilet hoo ha was very seedy.

AmericanHousewifefan · 18/11/2018 19:54

Eddie Izzard was the first name that came to mind.

BehemothPullsThePeasantsPlough · 18/11/2018 19:56

In the interests of accuracy, Soon-Yi wasn’t Woody Allen’s adopted daughter - that would have been actually illegal. She was his long term partner’s adopted daughter. Still creepy AF, but not legally incest.

BoringSoup · 18/11/2018 19:58

What’s a flat earther?

Binglebong · 18/11/2018 19:59

LoveandStuffing please say who! And how they did it to put you off them?

James Martin after he said he’d deliberately tried to scare a group of cyclists in his car.

DobbinsVeil · 18/11/2018 20:01

Justin Timberlake - the awful trolls song and for then working with Woody Allen
Drew Barrymore after her "women shouldn't be angry" comments. I'd loved her since ET!

Mummymummums · 18/11/2018 20:02

Oh and talking of seedy/sleazy Hugh Grant plummeted in my estimation after bring caught with prostitute while in a relationship with Liz Hurley. I guess at least George Michael was single (I think) during the public loo hoo ha

Omega16 · 18/11/2018 20:02

Does this not just highlight how willingly we buy into the celebrity status without really knowing who that person is? They are just people after all.

Why does any one person deserve our adoration or admiration when there are many, many people achieving so much more than singing in tune, or acting well or by luck having the genetic make up that is more appealing to the general consensus?

Ignore me I'm not famous I'm tired after a long day of trying to make a difference, whilst being taken for granted Smile

DobbinsVeil · 18/11/2018 20:03

I loved Tom H and Taylor S.

DioneTheDiabolist · 18/11/2018 20:03

John Humphrys for being rude to my FiL on Mastermind.Angry
