Taking out the compost.
Dh moaned last weekend “ How come it’s always me who ends up taking out the compost? “ to which I was able to quickly say” Because it’s your job”. Grin

It made me so pleased that I emailed him at his madly busy work the next day saying
“ Darling I know you are really busy, but could you get home early today, because the compost really needs taking out”.

Oh how we laughed.

Food shopping and cooking. Ugh

Folding laundry
Putting laundry away
Changing loads in the washing machine
Drying pots
Stripping beds
Re-making beds with clean sheets

Don't mind anything else. Especially like hoovering Grin

Thinking about what to eat for the week ahead, making sure it's vaguely healthy, everyone will eat it and not having the same things over and over. It is so BORING.

Putting the clean laundry away

I wash it all and then it just sits there until the pile falls over and I have to do it or it finally annoys me enough

We are a non-ironing household (if I can help it) and my disinclination to put the laundry away sometimes leads me to have to use the "tumble drier trick" when things should have just been hung up straight away

I also never dry up. I wash the dishes and they are used again before they have a chance to be put away. My draining rack is never empty, though.

Taking out the compost

Yes, especially in winter when it's dark by the time I get home from work.

Our compost bin is right at the end of the garden, behind a hedge, so you have to navigate your way through shrubbery to access it, then face the various minibeasts who are busy working on it.

For those who worry about laundry getting darked on, all the creatures that you fear come out to play on the washing at night have made their home in our compost bin.

Hoovering. I hate it. It hurts my ears.

73kittycat73 · 16/11/2018 20:12

Brushing my teeth. I takes about 10 minutes just brushing alone. My teeth don't feel clean otherwise. (And am causing receding gums by overbrushing but can't help it!)

Pairing effing socks. Get the rage if there's any missing. And there always is

craftymum01 · 16/11/2018 20:41

Sat here with a massive load of clean washing that needs sorting and putting away. How long can I procrastinate on MN before I actually HAVE to do it (it's on my bed)

Cleaning the bloody highchair and the mat on the floor underneath it

Voicemails. It's such a palaver and waste of time to listen to them, I get completely enraged whenever anyone my mum leaves me one

Clearing up the cat poo from the garden.

Our cat insists on pooing on the grass.

Usually, cats poo in someone else's garden.

Our cat is different.

So pleased to hear from those who hate Teeth Brushing, honestly thought it was just me.

Not keen on putting my makeup on either but still go through the rigmarole everyday.
