mine has to be putting petrol in the car and putting on tights.

what mundane daily tasks do you hate having to do?

Cooking. God, I loathe it. Detest it. (Which is why I don't do very much of it.)

rachelfrost · 16/11/2018 02:09

Brushing the children’s teeth. Washing leafy vegetables. Cleaning the stove top.

Bloodybridget · 16/11/2018 03:55

I hate sorting out rubbish and recycling; it's collected very early on Tuesdays so it's a Monday night job. Loads of waste bins to be emptied and everything sorted through into recycling/landfill; loo bins emptied and re-lined, blah blah. And the nasty squishy bag in the food waste bin has to be moved into the outside food waste bin.

When I was a kid back in the Dark Ages, there were no such things as bin liners or recycling and everything was tipped down a rubbish chute. Smelly but simple.

Making packed lunches. Cleaning out the packed lunch bag. 😬

CondomsLubricantAndFlapjack · 16/11/2018 05:39

Tidying up after DH.

He has he ability to find and use every pot, pan and utensil when cooking, but overnight forgets where they live and leaves them on the side for me to put away.

FeckingEjit · 16/11/2018 06:02

I actually enjoy doing laundry, vacuuming, ironing, even big jobs like cleaning bins/cooker. But I cannot fucking stand washing up. Boring, wet, gunky and it is never ever finished. I dream of the day I move to a house where we can fit a dishwasher.

CakeNinja · 16/11/2018 07:36

The whole morning routine! Wrangling 3 kids up and out of the house while
I’m also trying to get ready for work is tedious.
I seethe at dp who only has to get himself up and sorted and rage at him when he asks why I get so annoyed about it all 😂
He gets up earlier than everyone else to go to work by the way, in case someone tells me he should be pulling his weight!
I don’t really cook (he does that), we have a cleaner so I don’t dust/clean bathrooms etc, I don’t iron, I don’t mind putting washing on but putting it all away is endless.
I would never not have a dishwasher though, and I don’t mind unloading it.

TimeWoundsAllHeals · 16/11/2018 07:39

Being without adult company till my husband gets home.

craftymum01 · 16/11/2018 09:05

I don’t mind putting the clean clothes away (I never iron) but I hate hanging out wet washing to dry. Especially when tights and bras decide to try and mate in the washing machine and become tangled up

I really hate putting washing to dry on racks.

formerbabe · 16/11/2018 09:12

Washing and drying my hair

Getting showered and dressed.

Putting laundry away...will happily iron for hours though...

LaPufalina · 16/11/2018 09:15

YY to duvet covers and finding they need putting on when you go to bed! Also drying my hair and unloading the dishwasher.
My worst one is going through the fridge to find out what needs to be chucked. I have a sense of smell that a bloodhound would envy!

myusernamewastakenbyme · 16/11/2018 09:18

Drying and straightening my hair....like others my hair still looks shite at the end of it....
Changing my bed sheets....feeding the cat.....cooking dinner for a fussy 15 year old....cutting the grass....shaving all my body hair too.

craftymum01 · 16/11/2018 12:17

Agree with the shaving one. Loving winter and the fact that I can cover everything up!

Putting away the washing

pumpastrotter · 16/11/2018 12:29

Dishwasher smell makes me gag, it's like a sweaty swimming pool filled with dogs (and yes, my dishwasher is clean).

I hate washing up though, so I cannot win.

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/11/2018 12:32

All of it at the moment!

zolaaa · 16/11/2018 12:36

Cleaning soily bits off mushrooms and chopping them! Why are they such a vital ingredient to most of my batch cook dinners!?

craftymum01 · 16/11/2018 12:37

@pumpastrotter that's exactly what it is. We have one of those little fresheners in ours and it still smells hideous. I have to open it and walk away to let it clear before I empty it.

Cleaning the floors and hoovering. Cleaning the bathroom

holidayingsoon · 16/11/2018 12:43

I hate making packed lunches for
3 kids and hate cooking, us enjoy cooking when it's once in a while but as it's everyday it's such a chore now

TokyoSushi · 16/11/2018 12:43

Laundry, all aspects except putting the dirty stuff in the machine.

Very much enjoy vacuuming!

DrinkReprehensibly · 16/11/2018 12:44

Showering and washing myself in general. I do it but I just don't like getting wet very much and am as quick as I can. My DH thinks I'm crazy because he loves having a shower and finds it relaxing.

Chipsahoy · 16/11/2018 12:48

Lunch boxes definitely

wannabebetter · 16/11/2018 13:14

Handling raw chicken (I wear gloves!), fishing bits of food out when they are blocking the sink - bleauugh!, putting my hands in a sink full of bleachy water to take the plug out (because DH is bloody obsessed with bloody bleach) as I hate the smell on my hands for the next 24 hours!
