How many sausages make a meal?

Twigwonderkid · 22/10/2018 19:17

I think I have a problem with my weight due to portions. So 6 pack of supermarket sausages (you know the ones with all the different flavours) with new potatoes, green beans, carrots and mini corn on the cob. How many sausages would you eat?

Two. Three max if I was massively starving.

dogdaydisaster · 22/10/2018 19:18

2 or 3 depending on how hungry I was feeling

Bunnybigears · 22/10/2018 19:18

2 or 3 depending how hungry I was

Two or three per person depending on how big they are.

Bloodybridget · 22/10/2018 19:19

Two is really enough, I think. I could eat three but would feel very greedy if I did.

Earlywalker · 22/10/2018 19:19

If the big ones I have 2, chipolata type I have 3 or 4

Franullalitta · 22/10/2018 19:19

2, will always put 3 on my plate though then leave one. My husband will want all 6

Atalune · 22/10/2018 19:20

2 with the green beans only. I wouldn’t have the potatoes or the other veg.

DishranawaywiththeSpoon · 22/10/2018 19:20

Id probably eat 3 unless it was toad in the hole or something. Could easily eat 4 though if I was really hungry but I try not to.

CaptainPovey · 22/10/2018 19:21

Just two

I could probably eat the lot (but I don't)

Fantastiqueangel · 22/10/2018 19:21

Two for me. Two maybe three for husband.

Bestseller · 22/10/2018 19:21

Two with lots of veg and potatoes.

Although sausages are probably not the thing to choose if you're hoping to lose weight

JosellaPlayton · 22/10/2018 19:21

I only eat veggie sausages but I’d say 2-3 is an adequate adult portion (DH would eat 3 for instance and isn’t overweight) if served with potatoes and veg.

MakeLemonade · 22/10/2018 19:22

Two would be plenty.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 22/10/2018 19:23

2-3 depends how hungry I am

Usually two but currently 3 as pregnant and ravenous! DH will have 3, DSD (17) will have 2, DS (2) will have one.

PhilomenaDeathsHeadHawkMoth · 22/10/2018 19:24

3

PatriciaHolm · 22/10/2018 19:24

Oh dear God.

Not the Great Sausage Thread again.

To summarise -

  • some people will eat 1 and consider any more gluttonous
  • some will say 6 is absolutely fine and they are a stick thin size 8
  • someone will call someone else greedy, someone else will accuse everyone of having food issues

And a argument will break out about artisan hand rolled pomegranate and artichoke sausages vs Richmonds.

IckleWicklePumperNickle · 22/10/2018 19:24

4 here. I would easily have 5 though. I am a proper meat eater. I would eat less veg and more meat, even though I love veg too.

Rockbird · 22/10/2018 19:25

What she said ^^ Grin

MrsNacho · 22/10/2018 19:25

I would have 2, teen DS would have 3.

BiscuitDrama · 22/10/2018 19:26

So how many would you normally eat?

PatriciaHolm · 22/10/2018 19:27

Oh, and someone will admit to feeding their toddler sausages, and someone else will clutch their pearls and gasp "BUT the SALT"!
