How old were you when you met your DH/DP?

I'm at that horrible age where most of my peer group are getting married or engaged... fed up of being asked about online dating

I met him when I was about 23 but didn't start going out with him until I was 28. Married at 31.

I was 19 he was 24. Married at 26/30, first baby the year after.

17, he's 19 we had our first DC when I was 18. Now married 33 years.

I was 30, he was 42

I was 16 when we first met, him 18. Officially “together” at 17 and 19 respectively. Married at 28 and 30 so definitely took our time to be sure

Ironically we met on the internet though - it’s not all bad!

14. Friends first, got together at 20 and married at 22.

18 but like orange we took our time and didn’t get married until we were 29!

I was 24, he was 26 & we got married two years later. Looking back it seems ridiculously young to settle down, especially as I have a 24 year old who's nowhere near that stage, but we are still together 30 years later.

20 and a couple of days

I was 19 but most of my friends were late 20s early 30s

Met at 19.... about 9.5 months before dd1 was born. We got married a year ago and dd1 is now 8, dc3 is hopefully on the way and dd2 is 4

Don't worry OP I was 34 and DH 33 before we met. Never thought it would happen with the majority of my friends married by 28. Couple now are divorced.

Now have two kids

I was 18 he was 20, now 28/30 not married but expecting out first baby :)

At Uni, both still in out teens ..... 34 years later
BUT
my sister met lots of guys and then was smitten aged 28
my brother met his wife at 20
my other brother at 28
my other sister is still single
my other sister at 25
there is no hard and fast
when you meet the right one you will know - do not let family rush you
(or in my case, try desperately for many years to put you off)

18. I wouldnt look at him twice if i met him now. but when i was 18 he had a car and played guitar. He also was privately educated at an all boys school and i assumed he would have good prospects. Sadly he needs a ricket up gis arse tomachieve ANYTHING! Even getting his bloody passport this summer before our holiday was a last minute drive to liverpool! And that was a necessary as his Irish passport STILL hasn't arrived. I told him months and months before our holiday there was a backlog on irish passports.

I'm not opposed to internet dating, I just feel like people expect you to provide them with all these hilair stories about their weirdos!
