New ninja thread!!

Becca19962014 · 01/10/2018 22:09

The other one expired and it doesn't look like anyone else has created one! So I get another barn and leslie didn't steal my victory like last time!!!

I guess technically, technically MN won the last one. However, this is MY barn.

Rules:

Feed the ninja owl(s) in the rafters, cake only. Especially me. I get hungry and cannot eat anything other than cake and no yukky healthy stuff in cake.

No discussion at all about yukky healthy food.

Um..

Did I mention I like cake???

We talk about anything and everything, except obviously healthy food.

It's not advisable to try and win the thread and mention another is about to expire because some people use it to cheat.....

Thank you for helping out with all my leftovers CakeCakeCake

The fridge is completely crammed with food too. Obviously not something to complain about, but a bit worried we won't manage to eat everything before it goes off. Sadly there's nothing in there that you would want as it's all savoury!

Well done Becca for getting through the appointment. Hope it all gets a bit better from here on.

Love the acronym Leslie

We have the builders in doing the bathroom. I never know quite what to do with workmen in the house. DH, girlcat (being extremely brave, she's so nervous) and I are shut in the sitting room. Boycat is in the garden.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 08/10/2018 18:04

I always find that awkward too Fuzzy. You can't really relax and act normally. How long will they be there? Hopefully it'll be worth it when here finished :)

FuzzyCustard · 08/10/2018 18:51

I think three days, plus the electrician finishing off on Thursday. Then I've got to paint it and put the shelf up and order a new storage unit.

Becca19962014 · 08/10/2018 20:25

Hope they're not around as long as mine were fuzzy

Odd question (which I'm x-posting elsewhere so sorry if anyone is on those threads as well) Anyone have any ideas how long a throat swab might take?. Am worried as I'm having diahorrea after taking the antibiotics I have, not that it's really bad but that it'll effect the ability of the tablets to work/my diabetes.

OP posts:
WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 08/10/2018 21:01

I think it would usually take a few days Becca. I had a skin swab taken a few weeks ago on a Wednesday morning and was told the results should be available by Monday. I don't know if they might have rushed yours though, given your other health problems. Also depends where you had t done

Fuzzy hopefully the painting and stuff will be more fun for you :) what colour are you going for?

Becca19962014 · 08/10/2018 21:26

It was done by the emergency GP at the hospital.
Trying to decide to have antibiotic tonight and in morning and see GP. Might try nhsdirect.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 08/10/2018 21:41

Hopefully it'll be a bit quicker then :)

Becca19962014 · 08/10/2018 22:32

Ffs. Rang NHSdirect who refused to help and GP on call told me the antibiotics aren't ideal ones to take and I should be taking ones I'm allergic to and if it doesn't go in the next couple of days I'll need to go into hospital for special antibiotics. Along with telling me it could turn into meningitis.

Ffs.

Now I'm terrified.

Well, that doctor sounds like a twit. Can you speak to your normal GP today?

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 09/10/2018 08:08
Cake

I hope you got some sleep

Becca19962014 · 09/10/2018 10:03

By the time I got through no appointments left Sad

Oh bum Sad

Becca19962014 · 09/10/2018 12:43

GP back in on Thursday got to hope I can get through then. Spoke to pharmacist who said issues are normal if taking it for a long time, should be ok for another two days. There are other meds, he was NOT impressed that I'd been told what I had. Said to rest as much as o can and try not to worry but they understood.

I got a bit of food. Am exhausted now, but at least I did it. Hoping can rest this afternoon.

OP posts:
WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 09/10/2018 14:52

I'm glad the pharmacist could provide a bit of reassurance Flowers and fingers crossed you can see your GP on Thursday. I hope you are getting some rest now.

I won a book from the MN book club so that was a lovely surprise :)

Becca19962014 · 09/10/2018 15:35

Having major problems using MN at the moment Sad

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 09/10/2018 15:39
