BaronessOrczy · 06/01/2012 12:10

MmeGuillotine, I love your blog - and I too am excited about the forthcoming exhibition. Whether I get to it or not is another question.

I've just blogged about my first run of the year - Running Out of Steam. What I didn't put into it was how, if I'd had the energy, I'd have bopped DP over the head with my trainers after he said to a friend on the phone as I came in, red faced, sweaty and panting:

"The Olympian is back!"

I've had a go at behaviour systems used in schools and why they don't work for vulnerable children

Baroness, thank you! It looks brilliant, doesn't it? I seem to have wangled myself onto the press preview days at Hampton Court and Kensington Palace too, which is a bit fun. What larks! :)

FlappyBaps · 06/01/2012 14:07

Ooo oo - how exciting - I didn't know this thread was here! I have now posted (drum roollllll) 2 blogs on my shiny new site - ordinarysoup.blogspot.com - please do drop in! Latest blog asking you for the "white lies and whoppers" told to you by your folks or by you to your offspring.

Already enjoying looking through some of the links above - best of luck to everyone!

BaronessOrczy · 06/01/2012 14:24

If you need any help with that Mme, and you promise not to take my head off, then just let me know Grin

SweetestThing · 06/01/2012 14:29

Posted this last night - anyone for a shimmy?

MmeGuillotine · 06/01/2012 16:32

Haha, Baroness, if I'm allowed a plus one, you're top of my list. :)

PetiteRaleuse · 06/01/2012 17:48

I have ranted about baby toys and how freakily scary they are. Yes. Really.

I am looking forward to reading everyone's blogs over the weekend and catching up on those I have missed this week.

singlemarriedmum · 06/01/2012 18:52

Hello! Just joined Mumsnet blogging network and it's already opened up a whole new world!!

Really enjoying reading your posts and chat - problem is I can't get off the computer - things aren't getting done and children in danger of being neglected.....

CoffeeMummy - quilting sounds good - ever tried crochet? Recently started and just posted Anyone for crochet??

CoffeeMummy · 06/01/2012 21:42

butterfly. What have you done? I read your Blog Porn post and then went to the ChezLarsson blog...basically I'm doomed.

However in an attempt to settle on at least one new hobby I might take part in a craft-along (although I fear the guilt and rejection which may ensue, should I give up after only a few weeks Confused) This could be the excuse I need to get started on the quilting!

CoffeeMummy · 06/01/2012 21:47

Oh singlemarried now I want to crochet....Confused

butterflyexperience · 06/01/2012 21:48

Coffeemummy - I know I've spent over an hour on there the night Blush. And blame overmydeadbody for spreading that blog porn around Wink

You must craft along, you'll love it Grin

Singlemummy welcome to bloggers Smile and I'm off to view your blog porn now...

butterflyexperience · 06/01/2012 21:48

I mean singlemarriedmum Blush

singlemarriedmum · 06/01/2012 22:13

My latest post: a recap of the projects that went wrong

yummymummyreally · 06/01/2012 23:41

Ok..so I had to see what all the fuss was about, and 2 minutes of perusing of chezlarrson led me to the pic of the desk.... How messy do I now feel? I love the look of it, but could never emulate that in a million years... I am not that neat!

Enjoying all the posts this week. Thinking of joining the mums net new year bloghop, but not done it before so not sure how it works... Can anyone advise please? Thanks!

Just posted on overhearing conversations and how we bandy information around so casually without thinking about it.

No idea how to bloghop but I'd love to know too!

MiloandAmeliasMummy · 07/01/2012 18:18

littledoers.com/why-art-and-craft-matter-to-children Latest post on why art is important in early childhood. What are your thoughts? Do you endeavour to be creative with your little ones?

Will blogging about my maternal anxieties put an end to them? I doubt it, but it's worth a try!

Third post of 2012 although I would have preferred to not have need to write about Boo Flu
Would love to hear from you all at MN on what is the best way to deal with Baby colds - I'm going to colate them all and write a follow up post!

Have a great Sunday! :)
