aftter reading chez larsson How to section, I now feel completely inadequate in all areas of life.

That's it I'm off to bed

ATOmum · 03/01/2012 23:14

Happy New Year everyone - here's my first offering of 2012 - mostly about yelling at my eldest!
Happy New Yell...

yummymummyreally · 04/01/2012 07:59

Loving reading all the 2012 posts.

Children back at school today, so hopefully will manage to finish my next post later today! (smile)

I sympathise Butterfly, I love pouring over Chez Larsson, but do get a sense of inadequacy afterwards.

I think you can do bold and tranquil at the same time.

butterflyexperience · 04/01/2012 08:40

Hey omdb. I have a craft proposition for you.

As a 2012 challenge for mn bloggers and who ever else that wants to join in, why don't we do a synchronised blog craft type thing where all participants learn a new craft skill like make a patch work quilt.
Everyday/week we post our progress on our own blog and do a blog hop at the same time.

What do you think?

FiveHoursSleep · 04/01/2012 08:43

I'm getting closer to that Child Free Day

Protecting your children, and the dangers of Stranger Danger

Wannabe
I wondered about that woman, the one found in Sandringham and had the same thought as you. Would they even have reported it if she had been found somewhere else.

A Happy New Year post to bring in the new 'background pic' and comment on the weather (as is tradition around these parts!)

January 2012 arrives and boy, is it cold!

Further post will follow this pm.

butterflyexperience -
Would luv to join in your crafty project, but I don't think I have the time! (can you hear the violins!!) Still working part-time as well as blogging and writing whenever I get the chance.

I suppose, though, it depends what you do and how long we have to do it. I'd love to make a patchwork quilt (never have), although I did manage to run up some curtains last year (lined and all Smile though I broke two sewing machine needles in the process Sad)

Good luck though, it sounds like a great idea!

Butterfly I was thinking of doing something like that! A craftalong, or a sewalong. I've seen them for quilts, we could do some for things we are all interested in!

Great idea!

overmydeadbody · 04/01/2012 13:35

yummymummy we could do it so that you don't need to do more than half an hour a day, so crafting for busy people.

You know, I started a quilt months ago that will not get finished for at least another 6 months. Quilts are very mbitious. You could do simple sewing projects and slot them into your busy day, I promise!

BaronessOrczy · 04/01/2012 15:05

Happy new year all

Bored of my diet already, I've blogged today about the White Chocolate Cheesecake I made for my friend's 30th birthday party on NYE.

SweetestThing · 04/01/2012 15:12

and finally, a wee bit of good news!

DedalusDigglesPocketWatch · 04/01/2012 16:37

A Good Day and a Good Health Visitor

yummymummyreally · 04/01/2012 16:59

Here's the proper post for today..

Are Thank You cards dying out? How do your children say thank you?

overmydeadbody Not sure I believe you (laughing)! Would be lovely to join in though. Keep me posted on what project you pick. Simple sewing, simple sticking or simple knitting I could perhaps cope with?!! Grin Giggling to self....

Here's a new one for me : a post praising the Daily Mail: pint-sized-rants.blogspot.com/2012/01/rant-about-having-to-give-credit-where.html

DillyTante · 04/01/2012 20:00

Hi all.

Sweetestthing, great news for you. Btw though your blog is a bugger to post comments to!

SweetestThing · 04/01/2012 20:17

Sorry about that, Dilly - a couple of other people have said that and I've checked all the settings, so it should work, but it does seem some people have a problem posting. Thanks for the comments, though!

DillyTante · 04/01/2012 20:37

I'd love a craft along.

butterflyexperience · 04/01/2012 21:16

How about each month a different blogger hosts craft along blog hop?
Thought if omdb doesn't mind hosting the first one as she has good audience already with her existing blog hop. Those bloggers can then join in the next craft along blog hop.

What da think? Smile

staranise · 04/01/2012 22:04

Gosh, I can agree with that sense of inadequacy re. CHez Larsson OMDB nand butterfly - my house just feels so cluttered and mismatched (and not in an arty way) compared with her clean spaces. I know there's a Scandinavian somewhere inside me tryng to get out!

Love the idea of a craft-along but I already have soo many half-finshed craft projects on the go, I daren't start another! (I bet Chez Larsson doesn't have stashes of half-knitted tangles of wool under her bed...)

Anyway, here's a post about another Nordic blog that makes me feel inadequate!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I've been out of blogging practice due to end of mat leave Sad but am catching up on all of your posts now!

I have finally got around to updating with some reflections on being back in the office [http://chroniclesofmamak.blogspot.com/2012/01/back-to-school.html here] and would love to hear what you've loved / hated about being back at work if you went back / why you chose not to?

Angel786 · 04/01/2012 22:08

here even

butterflyexperience · 04/01/2012 22:40

Star- your blogs are brill! Your one talented lady.
Love the pics of the napping babies - genius!!

rubytwoshoes · 04/01/2012 22:59

Yes I was one of those who blogged about the absence of Daddy at the premature birth of our baby girl. It was to coincide with Channel 4's One Born Every Minute which returned this evening. It felt pretty weird typing out our experience - love to hear what you think!
