Anyone?

I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

I've been trying to comment on other people's posts abit (please excuse myt typing got an ew keyboard ay work and it's a bit small)

DirtyMartini · 24/06/2011 16:32

My latest post I have rather desperately tagged it "breasts" in the hope it will bring me some interesting Google search visitors.

Think I'll start a thread about random search engine referral terms found in blog stats, I'm sure I have seen Mme mention some in the past. I had a good one yesterday.

my latest post is project sixty four

64 projects done, only 47 left to go this year!

GentleOtter · 25/06/2011 19:42

I am posting todays as I am heartbroken, deeply shaken and wonder if there is any point struggling against these people any more.

gutted

Desiderata · 25/06/2011 19:44

I have a MN independent blog called Tactless Atlas!

I have since discontinued it because I have a FATWAH on my head.

You can still view it.

MintyB · 25/06/2011 19:58

Howdy all! New to Mumsnet and the blogging network (and not really getting the chat/threads thing get ) but I guess here's as good a place as any to pimp the ol' bloggy blog: www.waterbirthplease.wordpress.com lovely to meet y'all

DirtyMartini · 25/06/2011 20:17

Oh GentleOtter, that's rotten. I'm really sorry. Your post has made me a bit teary.

My mum and stepdad are in your part of the world, and I know it would make them so sad too. They have strong feelings on that sort of thing. Unfortunately strong feelings are rarely enough, on their own, to stop the strimmers-and-shooting antics of idiots.

Also reminds me of my friend whose family lives on the Isle of Man, where Jeremy Clarkson runs riot with nary a care for the natural world.

GentleOtter · 25/06/2011 20:21

I am honestly thinking about leaving, Dirty. This fight has gone on for years but some parts of Scotland, and the landowners, are set back somewhere circa 1700.
The police did not want to know as it is a civil matter.

I want to go home to the Highlands.

DirtyMartini · 25/06/2011 20:31

:(

MmeLindor. · 26/06/2011 00:18

Oh, GentleOtter, what a lot you have had to put up with these past months. Your blog post made me so upset for you. Bastards.

I finally finished my latest chapter and put it on the blog. I decided I was not going to bed until I did it so it may be a bit garbled at the end. Will reread tomorrow when I am fully awake.

I have decided that I need to concentrate on writing if I am going to do anyhting with it. Which means sticking to my "deadline" of 1500 words a day (during the week). Kick me if you see me faffing about on MN before I have done this.

DirtyMartini · 26/06/2011 07:12

Good title, Scat Cat. Will have a look later.

Mme: wow @ 1500 words/day. Haven't caught up with your latest posts either, hope to do so later. Many good blogs, little time, etc.

Loved your latest post MmeLindor - it even prompted a comment from me which I'm usually too lazy busy to do. Good luck with the 1500 wpd aim. GentleOtter - very sorry to read your blog, they sound like truly horrible people. I've not updated mine for a few days but I'm writing down ideas in my little book ready for the time and the inclination.

MmeLindor. · 27/06/2011 16:26

Eastendmummy
Thanks. It has been very successful. I was a bit worried it would be taken as mummyblogger-bashing but has been pretty well received.

Hey gang!

Nice to see some new bloggers about!

This is my latests about why I am Tee.

Scat, really interesting looking recipe!

GO thaty's so heartbreaking.

MmeL I read yours earlier. I'm actually a non-active member of Brit Mums or whatever they call themselves now. And I hate all those terms as well!

MmeLindor. · 27/06/2011 17:40

oh, ScatCatShoo (good name, btw), I have just started reading your blog and I am hooked already. Not that keen on offal, but keen to cook some Indian food. We don't get it much here in Switzerland.

Will read on.

I was/am a member of Britmums too, but never used it. I think the sheer mummyness of it put me off.

Tee2072 · 27/06/2011 17:46

The sheer mummyness and their unwieldy message boards is what put me off.

DirtyMartini · 27/06/2011 19:54

Never heard of Britmums before. I enjoyed your post though Mme; I had been vaguely wondering what Cybermummy was when I saw references to it on Twitter, but didn't have time to look it up at that point.

Read yours yesterday too Tee, but have not caught up on any others in the past day or two; too busy with the kids, and we've all been unwell. Hope to read more tonight.

How do you all find the time to keep on top of so many blogs and projects? I'm finding it can be overwhelming ... but consider that a rhetorical q here, as it's off topic. I may ask it properly on the blogging chat thread.
