Anyone?

I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

I like that lulabella. That chilli sounds diviiiine. I hate being on a perpetual bloody diet.

gah!

eastendmummy · 20/06/2011 13:28

MmeLindor - loving the recipes. I have bought chard so many times and it has sat and festered in my fridge until making its way to the bin. I may try again after reading that.

Lullabellarama - love your food too and I wish I was organised enough to meal plan. Keep trying and failing miserably but will definitely try some of your ideas.

I made myself a tunic top on sunday, blogged about here on So Resourceful.

MmeLindor. · 21/06/2011 00:30

Lulubella
Love your blog and will definitely try the chilli recipe. I agree that beef is better than mince for chilli. Never made retried beans before.

Overreaction/MadeinMummy
Great blogs, will add you to my blog list tomorrow when back on the pc

Serious post today, about [[http://ladouceviesuisse.com/2011/06/21/remembering-anabelle/ Anabelle], the daughter of a MNetter and blogger who was born sleeping a year ago today.

Nice post Mme; I am a bit teary after reading it. Wee Anabelle :(

You have a way of saying things with a certain understatement that actually makes them more thought-provoking/moving/funny (depending on post); I think it is a really interesting (in a good way) characteristic of your writing style. It is very distinctive. I wish I could pin it down with a better description but I am just flying past this morning and should not even be on MN

DirtyMartini · 21/06/2011 10:43

Lula, your blog looks great. But how DARE you post about cheese when I am on WW

DirtyMartini · 21/06/2011 10:44

PS I used to work in a cheese shop!

MmeLindor. · 21/06/2011 11:03

Oh, that is interesting, DM. Food for thought.

Lula
Your post about cheese had me drooling, and thinking about what our recently departed guests have left in the fridge. I live in Cheese Mecca. Switzerland, on the border to France.

DoodledGirl · 21/06/2011 11:36

Does your blog have to be motherhood related to become a mumsnet bloggers member?

MmeLindor. · 21/06/2011 11:49

I don't know, Doodled. You could contact MNHQ and ask them. Or just apply and see if you are accepted.

Mine is only about 10% motherhood related, at a guess.

OP posts:
DirtyMartini · 21/06/2011 13:00

Doodled, mine is not, and I have been wondering about whether that is a factor - but I don't think it is supposed to be.

I applied yonks ago and haven't had an answer yet. I PMd ElinorMumsnet the other day (chose her because she had posted in early May to say something about the network) but have had no reply.

New post on my blog now here about another colonial woman.

eastendmummy · 21/06/2011 13:59

All these blogs are inspiring me to write more and more so thank you all! My latest blog is here new post and was inspired by a really nice day getting to know my new home.
