I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

Huh. But it doesn't seem like the rule matters much, as long as nobody here minds, right? ... I mean, there have been people posting on this thread who weren't strictly members and we have all been rubbing along happily together (I do hope that won't change). MNHQ don't seem bothered as long as all is serene. Isn't the rule just enforced as needed, e.g. when Sylvie posted that blog that was essentially a stealth advertisement?

I would be so sorry to see you go from here, MissMary, and you too bullet, although I can't remember if I have actually visited your blog or not yet sorry (I will scroll back and catch up if not).

Re: making a hash of it ... it does seem as if they may have underestimated the amount of time and work it would take to get it up and running smoothly. Then again, I have no idea how it works behind the scenes.

And don't worry re virus thing MissMary, not your fault, glad all ok ... do they know what happened?

DM I don't think that's the reason they've made a hash of it. These things do take time. But I think the rules and the remit of the network are not clear.

And I've told them this. ::shrug:: Whatever!

at other thread looking like it may kick off again. I'm fresh out of light-hearted distraction ideas. DD has hand, foot and mouth and I'm worrying over her even though I know it's not serious. Poor sweetie. I hope her brother doesn't get it too.

Had hoped to catch up on blogging properly (rather than just transcribing the Swedish posts) next week, as I don't have a big work deadline again (just met one), but it looks like I will be on cuddling duty instead. Could be worse, though. I do enjoy cuddling.

I do agree, though, that the list of sleb or "featured" bloggers isn't super-exciting. The ones I've seen seem very middle-of-the-road, maximising-appeal-to-advertisers type of thing.

As for Pat off the Archers, I heard her railing at Clarrie at the end of last week but have not caught up since. I must visit the radio addicts board.

Thanks; I now recall her vaguely from the BBC, but had completely forgotten about her. Feeling like an arse now for muddling two wholly different women in my head simply because they share a name.

F Gilbert still a mystery to me despite the fact I do listen to Today. Doesn't sound like I'm missing much though.

There does seem to be rather a lot of stuff about blogs.

It's a backlash in the wake of the launch, I guess. Disenchantment, dwindling interest, diminished tolerance for the teething problems. Inevitable, on reflection.

Hello everyone, sorry I missed a few posts - this thread dropped off my "I'm on"s!

New post here although I've drifted away from disability again - I'm off to Poland with six Young People tonight, on a "Multi-lateral music exchange project" which I think equates to "stopping 24 European teenagers from killing each other with alcohol"
